Day 1

place Pristina Airport Transfer

Meet our guide at the airport and head to the city centre. Join Pristina, capital of Kosovo, the youngest country in Europe. Explore the political and economic capital of Kosovo where you will discover an unprecedented architectural contrast in Europe and an ever-evolving effervescent city. Dinner and overnight stay in Pristina.

Day 2

place Pristina sightseeing tour, visit to Peja and transfer to Reka e Allages

After breakfast, start a sightseeing tour of Pristina, the newest and smallest capital of the Balkans. It already has everything of a large metropolis with a lively city center with its many cafés and restaurants. Lunch in a traditional agrotourism restaurant serving local and organic products to discover the excellent Albanian gastronomy. Depart for Peja, the largest town in western Kosovo located at the foot of the Rugova mountains and gorges. Join the waterfall of the White Drin, walk to the summit where you will reach the caves "Sleeping Beauty" for an interior visit gallery carved for centuries by the force of the water. Continue towards the Rugova Valley and admire this magnificent canyon, which is one of the most beautiful natural areas in the country. You will join a guesthouse located in the mountain village of Reka e Allages where you meet a couple of locals and learn about their culture and tradition. Dinner with your hosts whose traditional food has been voted "Best traditional food in the region". Overnight at Reka e Allages.

Day 3

place Trip to Deçan and transfer to Junik

After breakfast, you will start a small walk with your hosts in the mountains to discover one of the most beautiful mountains in Kosovo. Visit the Patriarchal Monastery of Peja, one of the strongholds of the Orthodox religion in the region. Admire its many well-preserved frescoes as well as the calm and serene atmosphere present in this place. Visit the Ethnographic Museum of Peja where you will learn about the life of the inhabitants of Kosovo at the time. Traditional lunch in Peja. Go towards the Visoki Decani Monastery. Monument dating from the 14th century and listed as a UNESCO heritage site, you can admire these frescoes which constitute one of the peaks of Serbian art, powerfully inspired by Byzantine art, in particular by the Church of Saint Savior of Constantinople Finally, head to the village of Junik known for its many “traditional Albanian house” Kulas. Join a Kula for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

place Visit Lake Radoniq, Gjakova and transfer to Velika Hoca

After breakfast, drive through pretty villages to reach Lake Radoniq, the second-largest lake in Kosovo, and have a coffee in front of the lake. Reach Gjakova, a charming town in Kosovo with its authentic old center and its many craft stalls. Meeting with local artisans (subject to availability) who practice trades that no longer exist in Western Europe. You will discover makers of "Plis" (traditional Albanian hat), "diep" (wooden cradles) as well as Albanian seamstresses. Lunch in Gjakova. Continue your journey to the village of Velika Hoca, a Serbian enclave in the heart of Kosovo. Meet a family whose wine production dates back to the 13th century. Discover the life of this family and learn the history of this small village with its 12 Orthodox churches. You will join the family's vineyards and then learn more about the production of local wines. Dine with your hosts, tasting several wines and rakias from their production. Overnight in Velika Hoca.

Day 5

place Visit to an organic cheese factory and transfer to Prizren

After breakfast, join an organic cheese factory and learn about the Sharr cheese making process. You will visit the farm with its animals then you will start the tasting of cheeses and local products. Join then Prizren, cultural and historical capital of Kosovo and start the sightseeing tour of the city. Surrounded by mountainous landscapes, discover the old Ottoman center of the city where the Lumbardhi River flows. Its cobbled streets and its tearooms in the old bazaar, give Prizren a unique Ottoman charm with its three religious enclosures located nearby: the Mosque of Sinan Pasha, the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George and the Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Perpetual Relief. Visit the Albanian League of Prizren, the first league for the defense of Albanian rights established at the end of the 19th century. Lunch in a traditional restaurant in Prizren. Possibility to visit a manufacture of filigree, traditional Albanian jewelry that has its origins in Ancient Egypt. Free time to reach the Prizren Fortress for a breathtaking view of the city. Dinner and overnight in a local house of Prizren.

Day 6

place Bear Sanctuary, Novo Brdo Castle and transfer to Kukaj

After breakfast, cross magnificent mountain roads and reach the Marble Caves. Discover an underground world of breathtaking stalactites, stalagmites and aragonites, which formed over 200 million years ago. You will drive towards the Bear Sanctuary, where many captive bears in private restaurants in Kosovo and Albania were released. Drive toward the Novo Brdo Castle, located on the heights of a plateau offering a splendid panoramic view of the region. Then leave for Kukaj, a small village originally rebuilt in the mountains where you can enjoy a traditional Albanian meal like Flija (a tart made of several layers of pancakes covered with cream). Dinner and overnight in Kukaj.

place Janjevo, Ulpiana and transfer to Gračanica

After breakfast, drive to Janjevo, an abandoned Croatian village. Go on a tour that will retrace the history of the Croatian community that settled in Janjevo in the 14th century. An important economic hub for the Croats who worked alongside the Saxons in the mines of Novo Brdo and Kopaonik. Visit Ulpiana, the largest archaeological site in the country spanning 33 ha. It houses the remains of a Roman city founded by Emperor Trajan at the turn of the 1st century AD. Lunch in a traditional Serbian restaurant in Gračanica, a Serbian village located 10 minutes from Pristina. Visit the UNESCO-listed 14th-century Gračanica Monastery, then drop off your luggage at your stunning hotel with its outdoor swimming pool for your last night in Kosovo. Dinner and overnight in Gračanica.
