Day 1

place Ebike the Southern Valley

A short drive out of the worst of Cusco’s traffic, brings us to Saylla, popular locally for its deep-fried pork dishes. Here we unload your state-of-the-art e-bike and following a full introduction in its use from your expert guide, you set off along a beautiful rarely used road, climbing up to visit the highly intricate and rarely visited Inca ruins of Tipon. (Please note this entrance is not included in the biking price - you will need to bring, or buy, your own 'Boleto Turistico' to enter this site.) Carrying on down the South Valley, you briefly join the main road to visit the very different Pre-Inca ruins of Pikillacta. This vast rock and adobe city pre-dates Cusco and the Incas and is very interesting indeed. You then enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking Huacarpay lake. This afternoon, with the support vehicle close at hand, you circumnavigate Huacarpay lake, visit the lovely colonial village of Lucre, famous for its roast duck and artisan ice- creams before heading back to Cusco and your hotel for the night. This is a very flexible ride, which by using an electric-assisted mountain bike is suitable for just about any ability of rider looking to see a bit of Cusco that is rarely visited by tourists. Our e-bike fleet has extra-small and extra-large bikes, making this a trip perfect for all ages and sizes. Included: (Boleto Turistico not included), English-speaking guide, transport, e-bike, helmet, gloves, equipment, lunch, snacks & water
