Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu | Airport transfer and free time in Thamel
Arrive in Kathmandu, situated at 1,400 meters, and begin your time in Nepal. A representative meets you at Kathmandu International Airport and assists with your transfer from the airport, keeping the first stage of the journey straightforward.
After the transfer, the remainder of the day is free for you to spend as you prefer. Relax after your journey, or independently explore the lively streets of Thamel at your own pace before the day comes to a close.
Kathmandu is Nepal’s capital and lies within the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 2: Kathmandu Heritage Sites | Explore four UNESCO cultural landmarks
Set out on a full-day guided tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites and cultural treasures. Visit Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa, two prominent landmarks reflecting the Hindu and Buddhist traditions found across the city.
Continue to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, before visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square. Together, these four stops provide a focused look at the temples, stupas, and historic surroundings included in the guided program.
Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Shiva, while Boudhanath and Swayambhunath are Buddhist monuments.

Day 3: Journey to Chitwan | Scenic drive and afternoon cultural activities
Leave Kathmandu for Chitwan, traveling 175 km by private, air-conditioned vehicle. The scenic overland journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours and brings you to Chitwan National Park, situated at an elevation of 415 meters, before the afternoon program begins.
Join a guided jungle walk, then visit a traditional Tharu village. Complete the day by watching an authentic Tharu cultural dance performance, following the planned sequence of jungle exploration, village engagement, and cultural presentation in Chitwan.
The Tharu are an Indigenous community with deep roots in Nepal’s southern Terai region.

Day 4: Chitwan Jungle Adventure | Canoe ride, wildlife watching, and jeep safari
Begin your exploration of Chitwan National Park, described as Nepal’s finest wildlife reserve, with a canoe ride. Watch for crocodiles and colorful birdlife along the way while an English-speaking local naturalist provides guidance during the scheduled jungle activities.
Continue with an exciting jeep safari through the reserve. The search focuses on one-horned rhinoceroses and other wildlife, combining observation from the water with an overland wildlife experience inside Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan National Park was Nepal’s first national park.

Day 5: Chitwan to Pokhara | River valley drive to lakeside Pokhara
Depart Chitwan and travel 160 km to Pokhara by private, air-conditioned vehicle. The scenic overland drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, passing through beautiful river valleys before reaching Pokhara at an elevation of 822 meters.
After arriving in the picturesque lakeside city, keep the evening free for relaxation beside Phewa Lake. This unstructured time follows the road journey and allows you to enjoy the lakeside setting at your own pace before the day concludes.
Phewa Lake is a freshwater lake in Pokhara and is also known as Phewa Tal.

Day 6: Pokhara Sunrise and Pagoda | Sarangkot views, lake crossing, and hillside hike
Begin the day at Sarangkot, where you can watch the sunrise and take in views of the Himalayan landscape. After this early viewpoint visit, continue with the planned sightseeing in Pokhara, following the day’s sequence from sunrise to the city’s daytime highlights.
Cross Phewa Lake by boat, then begin a 3 to 4-hour hike to the World Peace Pagoda. The hike leads to stunning Himalayan views, combining the lake crossing and an extended walk into the main active portion of the day.
The World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist monument intended to serve as a symbol of peace.

Day 7: Pokhara to Ulleri Trek | Mountain drive, forest trail, and stone-step ascent
Meet your trekking guide in Pokhara and transfer by private vehicle to Nayapul. The drive takes about one hour along small, winding mountain roads, with views across the Pokhara Valley floor and panoramic mountain scenery before you reach the trek’s starting point.
Begin the five-hour trek from Nayapul, following the trail through forests and crossing the suspension bridge near Tikhedhunga. From there, climb 1,000 stone steps uphill to Ulleri village, where the day’s route ends at an elevation of 2,050 meters.
Suspension bridges are widely used in Nepal’s hill regions to connect routes across steep terrain and waterways.

Day 8: Ulleri to Ghorepani | Five-hour climb into the Annapurna foothills
After breakfast, leave Ulleri and begin the five-hour climb to Ghorepani. The day follows an uphill trekking route toward the village, gaining elevation from Ulleri before reaching Ghorepani at 2,750 meters in the foothills of the Annapurna Mountain.
Ghorepani is a typical mountain village with a local Gurung community. Once you arrive, take in the panoramic outlook from the village, including views of Annapurna South and the Nilgiri mountains at the end of the day’s trek.
The Gurung are one of Nepal’s Indigenous ethnic communities.

Day 9: Poon Hill Sunrise and Tadapani | 3,210-meter viewpoint and six-hour trek to 2,700-meter Tadap
Take an excursion to the Poon Hill viewpoint at 3,210 meters for sunrise. As sunlight reaches the mountains, watch their colors shift from white to orange. The viewpoint offers a 180-degree Himalayan panorama stretching from the Dhaulagiri massif to Fishtail Mountain, with the Annapurna ranges between. Spend time at the top before returning for breakfast.
After breakfast, begin the six-hour trek to Tadapani village. Descend through forest terrain along a route that passes waterfalls and small settlements. Continue through these changing surroundings until you reach Tadapani at an elevation of 2,700 meters, completing the day’s trekking route.
Dhaulagiri I is the world’s seventh-highest mountain, while Annapurna I ranks tenth.

Day 10: Tadapani to Ghandruk Village | Four-hour descent through rhododendron forest
Leave Tadapani for the four-hour trek to Ghandruk village, located at 1,940 meters. Follow the descending trail through rhododendron forest. When the rhododendrons blossom, their red flowers transform the color of the surrounding forest along this section of the route.
Arrive in Ghandrung during the afternoon and take an excursion through Old Ghandrung village, including a visit to the local museum. This Gurung village occupies the slope of a hill ridge and overlooks Annapurna South and Hiunchuli Mountain.
Rhododendron arboreum, known locally as lali gurans, is Nepal’s national flower.

Day 11: Nayapool Trek and Pokhara Return | Morning descent followed by vehicle transfer
Begin the morning with the trek down to Nayapool. Continue on foot throughout this first stage of the day, following the descending route until you reach Nayapool. Your arrival marks the end of the trekking portion and the point where you change from walking to vehicle transportation.
Board the vehicle in Nayapool and begin the drive to Pokhara. Travel to the city by road, then complete the scheduled transfer after arrival. This concludes the day’s sequence, moving from the morning descent and arrival in Nayapool to the onward overland journey and transfer in Pokhara.
Pokhara’s name is derived from “pokhari,” the Nepali word for pond.

Day 12: Leisure Day in Pokhara | Lakeside relaxation with extra-cost adventure options
Begin with breakfast, then keep the remainder of your day in Pokhara free for leisure. You can relax beside the lakeside and spend the unstructured time at your own pace. The day has no required activity, allowing you to focus on lakeside relaxation for as long as you prefer.
If you want a more active experience, choose from optional paragliding, ultralight flights, or ziplining. Each adventure is available at an additional cost and is not included in the scheduled program. You may add one of these options or continue enjoying your leisure time by the lakeside.
Pokhara once occupied an important trade route between India and Tibet.

Day 13: Pokhara Flight and Bhaktapur Visit | 25-minute flight followed by medieval city sightseeing
Begin with breakfast in Pokhara, then board a scenic flight to Kathmandu. The scheduled air journey takes approximately 25 minutes and forms the first travel stage of the day. After landing in Kathmandu, continue onward to Bhaktapur for the planned visit.
Spend time sightseeing in Bhaktapur, a beautifully preserved medieval city. This second part of the day focuses entirely on the historic destination, following the morning flight from Pokhara and arrival in Kathmandu. Complete the sightseeing program in Bhaktapur.
Bhaktapur is also known as Bhadgaon, and its name means “City of Devotees.”

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu | Airport transfer timed for your flight home
Begin the final day with your scheduled transfer to Kathmandu airport. The timing follows your outbound flight schedule, allowing you to reach the airport before boarding. No specific transfer duration or departure time is provided, so the exact schedule remains linked to your flight details.
Arrive at Kathmandu airport in time to board your flight back home. After completing the transfer, proceed with the required departure process and scheduled boarding. This final airport journey concludes the planned transportation and activities included in the 14-day Nepal trip.
Kathmandu Airport was renamed Tribhuvan International Airport in 1964.
