Aswan Arrival and Visits to Philae Temple and the High Dam
Arrive in Aswan, where you will be transferred to your cruise boat, launching your Nile adventure. Begin your explorations with a visit to the Graeco-Roman Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, which you’ll reach by a small motorboat gliding across tranquil river waters. Wander through graceful colonnades and intricate carvings as your guide reveals the temple’s storied past. Afterwards, set off for your second tour—this time at the famed High Dam, completed in 1960 to safeguard Egypt from seasonal flooding and to generate hydroelectric power. With these remarkable ancient and modern marvels, your day offers a fitting introduction to the blend of engineering and spirituality that defines the Nile Valley. Return to your vessel to enjoy a relaxing lunch and a sumptuous dinner on board, settling in as you prepare for the adventures ahead.
Philae Temple was painstakingly relocated stone by stone to its current island location when the rising waters caused by the High Dam threatened to submerge its original site.

Abu Simbel Temples and Kom Ombo’s Divine Duo
Rise very early as your guide gathers you for an extraordinary journey to Abu Simbel, traveling in a small group to one of Egypt’s most impressive ancient sites. Arriving around 8 am, you’ll stand before the massive rock-cut temples built by King Ramses II for himself and his beloved Queen Nefertari, marveling at elaborate carvings and seated colossi that guard the entrance to these desert monuments. After exploring the temples’ artistry and history, return to your cruise by noon to savor lunch as you begin sailing toward Kom Ombo city.
Later, step ashore in Kom Ombo to visit the unique riverside temple dedicated to both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Wander through this double temple’s distinctive halls before returning to your cruise boat for dinner. Continue sailing across the moonlit Nile toward Edfu, where you will spend the night.
The temple at Kom Ombo is unique in Egypt for its perfectly symmetrical design, honoring two sets of deities side by side.

Edfu Temple by Horse Carriage and Luxor’s Ancient East
After a hearty breakfast on board, embark on a horse carriage ride with your guide to reach the Temple of Horus at Edfu. This remarkable site is celebrated as the most complete and best-preserved temple in all of Egypt, filled with towering columns and vivid reliefs honoring the falcon god. After soaking in the rich details and sacred atmosphere, return to your cruise boat and relax on deck as you sail along the Nile. Admire landscapes of lush riverbanks and passing villages, cross the historic Esna Lock, and enjoy a leisurely lunch followed by afternoon tea on the sun deck.
As late afternoon approaches, the cruise arrives at its dock in Luxor. You will be transferred to the East Bank to visit Luxor Temple, a site where ancient Egyptian grandeur meets Christian and Islamic traces in architecture and artwork. After your guided exploration, return to your riverboat for dinner and a lively belly dancing show. Settle in for your overnight stay in Luxor. If your arrival at the Luxor dock is by 3:00 or 3:30 pm, you may also visit the monumental Karnak Temple in addition to Luxor Temple.
Edfu Temple was built between 237 and 57 BC and is one of the best examples of traditional pharaonic architecture.

Luxor Sunrise Balloon, West Bank Tombs, and Karnak Finale
Begin your day with an early morning pickup around 5:00 am for a breathtaking hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s West Bank. Enjoy a 30 to 45 minute flight as the sun rises, revealing panoramic views over the valley’s temples and mountains, with the golden light illuminating the city known as the world’s greatest open-air museum. After descending, have breakfast and check out from the cruise to begin a day packed with ancient wonders.
Travel by road to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs deep into the cliffs to safeguard their treasures and mummies. Continue to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, learning about her impressive reign and the story of her nephew. Next, take a photo stop in front of the towering Colossi of Memnon, the massive statues standing sentry over the ancient desert landscape. If you wish, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (optional). Your adventure continues as you return to Luxor’s East Bank for a final visit to Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built, remarkable for its giant pillars and sprawling layout, which was constructed over two millennia. Capture unforgettable photos among the monumental obelisks and statues before your transfer to a Luxor hotel, airport, or railway station, typically between 3:00 and 4:00 pm.
Karnak Temple covers about 63 acres and symbolizes nearly 2,000 years of contributions by generations of pharaohs, reflecting Egypt’s enduring legacy.
