Tierra del Fuego National Park Exploration
Start your day with a pick up at your hotel to experience one of Ushuaia’s most awe-inspiring adventures: Tierra del Fuego National Park. Just 12 km from the city center, this is where you reach the true End of the World and feel the magic of being in a place unlike any other. Before entering the park, you’ll pause at the End of the World train station. Here, you may choose to board the legendary narrow-gauge train (optional, about 60 minutes) which winds through sub-Antarctic forest and ends inside the National Park; if not, enjoy a walk in the pristine Fuegian forest (note: the walk may be cancelled in winter depending on weather). After the train or walk, the group reunites within the park and continues by vehicle and guide to Ensenada Bay, a remarkable spot where the Andes, sub-Antarctic forest, and sea meet to form an ecosystem unique in Argentina. In this area, you’ll trace the legacy of the native inhabitants through preserved archaeological remains and discover the last post office in America—sometimes open so you can send a postcard from this unforgettable location (Ensenada Bay is closed in winter). The journey continues to several scenic lookouts for short walks and opportunities to photograph the park’s diverse flora and fauna. Next, stop by Acigami Glacier Lake (also known as Roca Lake), a transboundary lake shared with Chile, and finally, reach Lapataia Bay, where you’ll see the iconic sign marking the southern terminus of the Pan-American Highway after more than 15,000 kilometers from Alaska. In clear weather, Antarctica lies just 1,000 km south.
Tierra del Fuego National Park is also a protected haven for rare local species and is deeply tied to the indigenous Yámana people, whose age-old presence is part of the land’s story.

After a half-hour inside the cave, continue to Cerro Castillo for a refreshment break, then head towards Torres del Paine through a changing landscape of steppe and forest. Spot local wildlife such as the rhea (South American ostrich) and guanaco grazing freely. Inside the park, discover turquoise lagoons, ice-capped mountains, and varied fauna. Bariloche Small Circuit & Campanario Hill: Scenic Marvels
Today you’ll enjoy a unique tour around San Carlos de Bariloche, winding through its forests, lakes, and mountains along the famous Avenida Bustillo beside Lake Nahuel Huapi. The picturesque landscape is ever-present as you travel, with natural viewpoints like Bahía López and Punto Panorámico offering ideal spots to soak in the marvels of the region. After passing Playa Bonita, you’ll reach the foot of Cerro Campanario, where you ascend to the 1,050-meter summit. At the top, a cross commemorates the first mass celebrated by Monsignor De Andrea on February 2, 1930. The hill’s charming café and two open terraces provide some of the most breathtaking and fascinating views in the area. They reveal lakes such as Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno, the El Trébol lagoon, the San Pedro Peninsula, Llao Llao, Victoria Island, and a panorama of surrounding peaks including the Otto, López, Goye, Cathedral, and Chapel mountains. The chairlift—built with cutting-edge Doppelmayer technology—offers safe, five to seven-minute rides at a variable speed of 1.3 meters per second, with eight towers, 46 chairs (accommodating up to 60 people), and a total length of 640 meters, transporting up to 450 people per hour. The upper station stands at 1,050 meters and the lower one at 770 meters. At the summit, the panoramic cafeteria can host 80 people and features two terraces rising 20 meters high. In the winter, the chairlift runs until 6:00 p.m.; in summer, until 7:30 p.m. thanks to extended daylight. After descending, you’ll have the chance to browse a wide selection of artisanal local products—from textiles and woodwork to candles, ceramics, and cosmetics—which make this scenic walk a highlight not to be missed.
