Depart from El Calafate for Bajo la Sombra port, located eight km before Perito Moreno Glacier. Once there, you will embark to cross the Rico lake, and disembark at the southwestern coast after 20 minutes of navigation.

Then, you will access a refuge, where the guides organize the groups of up to 20 people, and soon a walk by the forest begins to arrive at the glacier. Before accessing the ice, the guides will put the crampons on your shoes. The trekking on the glacier takes approximately one hour and a half during which you will be able to see crevasses, moulins (glacier mills) and small lagoons. The walk difficulty is moderate, on irregular ice surfaces, but firm and safe. Return to the port by boat includes an up-close view of the glacier face.
