Drive to Viana do Castelo (aprox. 1h drive) to check in for your first magnificent Pousada (which means a historical hotel full of things to discover). Pousada de Viana do Castelo is located on the top of Monte de Santa Luzia, in Viana do Castelo. High and graceful, it dominates and further embellishes the city of Viana do Castelo. FD Tour to National Peneda-Gerês Park – self drive
Breakfast in the hotel. Selfdrive to National National Peneda-Gerês Park (aprox. 40 min). Make a stop in a historical Ponte de Lima on the way. The National park of Peneda-Gerês was established by decree in 1971 with the aim of enhancing, for educational, scientific and tourist purposes, human activities and the natural resources of this privileged landscape set in the mountainous areas in northeast Portugal. The soil, water, flora and fauna have all been preserved. Take a stroll through the woods of Ramiscal, Albergaria, Cabril and focus on this new type of landscape. You will hardly find, in Portugal, a place like the upper valley of Homem River and the Gerês mountain. Don’t Forget to visit the castles in Castro Laboreiro and Lindoso, from the Megalithic period, testimonies of the Roman occupation, and the Roman road or “geira”. Notice the interesting milestones on the remaining stretch of the old Roman road that was once used by the legionaries to go from Braga to Astorga.

You can leave your luggage either in the hotel (free of charge) or bring it with you to the car. Viana do Castelo is one of the most beautiful cities in the north of Portugal. Their participation in the Portuguese Discoveries and, later, in cod fishing show their traditional connection to the sea. Viana do Castelo is quickly accessed from Porto, or from Valença for those coming from Spain. From the hill of Santa Luzia you can see the privileged geographical situation of the city, next to the sea and the mouth of the river Lima. This breathtaking view and the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Ventura Terra's revivalist building from 1898, can be the starting point for visiting the city. Located in Minho, Guimarães is known for the city where Portugal was born, being one of the most important in the history of the country. In this area, it is possible to find some of the most emblematic tourist spots, such as Largo do Toural, Largo da Oliveira, Rua de Santa Maria and the Church of São Gualter. Its location is ideal with a beautiful park and an incredible hydrolic funicular, ranked among the most beautiful funiculars in Europe. It will take yo up and down through the forest. The Bom Jesus de Braga Sanctuary has inspired many buildings across the world such as the Matosinhos Sanctuary of Bom Jesus in Congonhas, Brazil and the Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary in Lamego, Portugal, to name a few. Discover Porto
Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to the city center and leave the car to continue your tour by Tuk Tuk (3h)! It will pick you up in the city center meeting point. Discovering the city of Porto, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1996. This experience is unique, will be carried out in a tuk-tuk and combines the narrow streets of the historic centre, the right bank of the Douro river, Foz and the Atlantic coast. This is the funniest way to discover the historical streets of Porto. After the tour enjoy this nice walk across the Douro River and get to know the six bridges that crown the city of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. The city of Peso da Régua was born from the merger of the villages of Peso and Regla, extending along the banks of the Duero. Departure to Coimbra through Aveiro
Breakfast in the hotel. Check out. Drive to Avairo (aprox. 1h). Discover Aveiro or Portuguese Venice, next to the sea and the ria (estuary), is crossed by a network of channels through which moliceiros (local boats) meander. These slim, colourful vessels used to be used to collect algae and seaweed, and today are for sightseeing trips. Get into moliceiro boat tour through Aveiro that will start at the pier located at Largo do Jardim do Rossio. Along the crossing, we will learn to differentiate the two types of vessels that navigate through the channels: those of the moliceiro type and those of the mercantel type. In addition, we will know its origin and its history. During the moliceiro boat route, we will pass through some of the most emblematic points of Aveiro, such as the Art Nouveau buildings on the banks of the canal, the salt flats of Aveiro, the fishermen's quarter (Beira-Mar), the old Jerónimo P. ceramics factory. Campos and the Fish Market. Free time for lunch in Aveiro. Continue your tour to Coimbra (aprox. 1h). Check in the historical hotel Quinta das Lagrimas. Awaken your romanticism with a visit to the scene of the best known Portuguese love story. On the banks of the River Mondego, Coimbra is famous for its University, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe, which over time has shaped its image to become "the city of students". There are several monuments from those times that show the splendor of Romanesque art. In the shopping area and historic cafe area of the city center, visitors should see the Monastery of Santa Cruz, which houses the tomb of Portugal's first king, Afonso Henriques, and on the other shore, the Monastery of Santa Clara-A-Velha, recovered and rescued from the waters of the river that invaded her throughout the centuries. Departure to Obidos (aprox. 1,5h) Lunch in Obidos by your own. Óbidos is a beautiful little Portuguese city, declared a national heritage. It preserves some of the most emblematic buildings of the Portuguese medieval era. The name Óbidos comes from the Latin term oppidum, which means "citadel" or "fortified city." Recently it was discovered that there was presence of Roman occupants thanks to archaeological excavations, very close to the highest hill in the village.After the fall of Roman rule, the region came under the rule of the Visigoths. Departure to Lisbon (aprox. 1h).
