Breakfast. Drive to the Middle of the World valley. You will experience at Casa Agave about the millenary plant: Agave, its properties, and traditional uses. You will continue to Intiñan an interesting museum located at latitude 0º0’0” where you can experiment some of the physical laws that only happens in the Middle of the World. The journey continues with an amazing view of Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, located inside the crater of an extinct Volcano, here you can see little farms and crops. We will continue to Yunguilla, a little community hidden in the western slopes of the Andean Cordillera. This community offers nice activities and loves to share their sustainable activities. You will see a beautiful land of marvelous mountain scenery and enjoy a local delicacy “bizcochos” and a typical artisan cheese which in the past was wrapped in “atchira leaves”. Visit to a local hacienda to learn about the exportation process of ecuadorian roses to international market and an amazing show room with the most colorful bouquets of roses. After this stop we will continue along a winding country road, thru potatoes and vegetable crops, wheat and corn fields, a colorful landscape including the imposing Cayambe volcano. Breakfast. This route offers a unique trip in a spectacular region Valley of river Chota. We start the journey going north of Otavalo region. We will stop at Salinas a little village located in a dry valley. In Salinas you will be welcomed with the local rhythm “Bomba”. Here you can admire some colourful mural paintings that celebrates the history and culture of the afro descendants that tells their story during the colonial period and a little Salt Museum. We will continue further north to Mascarilla village where we will visit a local atelier where a group of local women elaborate masks on clay. You will have the chance to design your own mask. After lunch we drive around Yaguacocha lake, we will also visit Ibarra city, known as the “White City”, this marvellous city holds a beautiful old district, here we will enjoy the famous and most delicious and famous ice creams “Helados de Paila” and nogadas a candy made with walnut and sugar cane. Breakfast. On this day we will go to the east side of Quito to enjoy the splendor offered by the landscape of the Andes. The Antisana Volcano and its lake are one of the areas where you can observe Condors. With luck we will see some of them flying around the area. On the route you can see rivers of petrified lava that arise from the earth, which have led to the formation of trout lakes. We will drive to Papallacta Hot Spring, to enjoy in your last day the relaxing area and the benefits of these hot thermal spring waters. Lunch on Route. Overnight at selected hotel on standard room
