Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area – forged under the sea, then buried beneath sand dunes, now a beautiful Desert Masterpiece sculpted by the continuing forces of wind and time. What a magnificent sight and just west of Las Vegas. This incredible display of Aztec Sandstone is the most studied and famous geographic fault in the world. It is a photographer/sightseer’s dream-come-true with many scheduled stops, which include, Ancient Indian Petroglyphs, Pictographs, and Roasting Pits as well as beautiful Desert Springs. The three thousand foot tall Wilson Cliffs are multicolored sand dunes turned to sandstone over the millennia, they are magnificent! We prefer to operate this tour in the morning as the sun is on the cliffs, it is awesome. Many western movies have been filmed here. There is a good chance of seeing Wild Mustangs, Wild Burros, and Big Horn Sheep on this incredible adventure. The variety of Cacti, Yucca, and other desert plant life is amazing. In addition, there is a wonderful added attraction, this tour is through a beautiful and lush 900-year-old Joshua Tree Forest which surrounds the entire Red Rock Canyon area.
