9:00 am We depart from Ciudad Valles, rendezvous point for tourists interested in the exploration of The Huasteca Potosina region. 10:30 am Arrival to the Tanchachin village, meaning place of the birds in the Teenek language. In this place we will find the Tampaon river with its turquoise waters. This river is one of the top 10 most scenic and clean rivers of North America. 10:40 Presentation. Our guides in charge of Rafting are accredited by the Federal Secretary of Tourism for said activity and each one of them has their certification by the international rafting federation. They are in charge of providing and helping us properly wear the necessary gear for the activity along with a talk reinforcing the 4 international rafting rules. 11:00 am Following the introductory talk, we will enter the river where our rafting guide will give us a talk on the commands to be used on the raft and we will have some practice in order to better coordinate us. 12:00 pm The calm river section will end and we will navigate into the canyon where the rapids section will begin, this part of the tour is the most fun and most scenic and will have a great variety of fauna to observe 2:00 pm We will rendezvous at the Puente de Dios bridge of the Tampaon River, a great limestone formation that blocks the river forcing it to go under it. We will walk across to the other side of the river, and once we have all made it across the tour guides will indicate how to return to the raft. 2:30 pm We will begin the final section of calm water, and we will be able to fully appreciate the canyon while we head towards the river exit. 3:00 pm End of rafting. Food awaits us. 5:30 pm We arrive to Ciudad Valles where each tourist will be taken back to their respective hotel.
