Day 1

place Vespa Tour Adventure & Vatican Tour

Welcome to Rome! At the airport, you will meet your private English-speaking driver, who will accompany you to your centrally located hotel. Rome, such a fascinating city: feel the atmosphere of the Gladiators and start to take in the History and works of Art that are on every street corner. The central position of your hotel will allow you to explore the city on foot, easily reaching sites of historical and artistic interest such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, besides many famous restaurants. In the afternoon awaits you an amazing experience. First, you will discover the Eternal City as the Romans do on a 2-hour Vespa tour. The comprehensive tour takes you past all of Rome’s main attractions, including the Colosseum, Vatican City, and Saint Peter’s square. Along the way, you will learn about the monuments from a convenient audio guide. Later you will go to visit the incomparable Vatican Museums, home to one of the most extensive and impressive Art Collections and Antiquities in the world. Peruse the Gallery and admire the incredible sculptures. All this while skipping the lines (we will take care of your tickets!). The Vatican Museums are home to one of the most extensive and impressive Art Collections and Antiquities in the world. However, many times you might visit the Vatican and its Museums, it just gets better: it’s easy to go into art and history overload as Rome is history on steroids! Yet the Vatican collections simply cannot be missed; you will be absolutely amazed to see the size and breadth of these amazing collections, the list is endless: All of it adds up to one of the most impressive museums in the world. Just enjoy it all and take in as much as you can and check out what you prefer. The Vatican is not only a place where religious mysticism meets incredible beauty... Did you know it is also the smallest State on earth: home of great power and mystery?

Day 2

place Golf Cart Tour Experience & Jewish Quarter with Colosseum Tour

Today after breakfast you will explore the city by driving through some of the most beautiful ancient sites in Rome with a large, eco and comfortable Golf Cart! You will stop at each site and admire its beauty, take photos (we are also excellent photographers), visit monuments, fountains and admire the panorama of this wonderful city. You will visit the Domitilla Catacomb and Basilica of San Clemente with skip-the-line access, plus visit the Capuchin Crypt, where you’ll see a Caravaggio painting and marvel at a chapel made entirely out of human bones. You probably know the saying that the Italians “live to eat” and not vice-versa; well today should give you a pretty good confirmation of that: lots of things to see and even more to taste and sample. In fact, we believe that the best way to understanding the real Roman local life, is to look out for the small and historic food stalls; the local, lesser known bars of the capital and possibly visit one of the most important, lively Markets of the Capital and much more, all whilst taking in the historical sights too. You will visit for lunch the Jewish Ghetto, a bohemian district south of Rome’s historical center known for its vintage shops and art studios. Stop by local grocery stores and delicatessens around Piazza della Cinque Scole for samples of specialties like risotto balls, known as suppli, and fried artichokes and codfish. In the afternoon you will meet up with your knowledgeable your friendly English-speaking guide who can offer you a unique experience whilst strolling through the ancient parts of Rome, taking you back about 2000 years to the glories of the Roman Empire to admire the Roman Forums and the Palatine. At that time, the citizens of Rome were witnessing the construction of one of its now best preserved buildings: The Amphitheatrum Flavium, better known as the Colosseum. Go through some of the most spectacular highlights of Imperial Rome and relive the days of the Ancient Romans.

Built on the cliff that separates it from its crowded port, Sorrento is famous for its panoramic view of the sea and Piazza Tasso, dotted with coffee. The historic centre is a maze of narrow streets where the church of San Francesco is located, a 14th century building with a tranquil cloister. Enjoy your free time in this beautiful place!

place The Ruins of Pompeii & Winery on the Vesuvius

Today, after breakfast, you will meet your private English-speaking driver who will accompany you to a tour into the ruins of Pompeii. You will listen to the fascinating story of how this once-thriving city was destroyed almost in an instant by the massive amounts of volcanic ash and pumice that erupted from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. This enormous archaeological site is a treasure trove that boasts impressive artifacts, architecture and sculptures. Learn how Pompeii was rediscovered in 1748 and has been in a continual state of restoration ever since. The ancient city sprawls over 165-acres (66-hectares), of which only 49-acres (20-hectares), have been excavated to date. You will head to the Forum, the wide open courtyard lined by columns of various styles, where a view of Mount Vesuvius looms ominously in the distance. Among the highlights of the archeological site are the Porta Marina, Roman Forum, sanctuary of Venus and surrounding temples, House of the Menander, House of the Faun, Central Bath and the Lupanare of Pompeii. Later, you will unwind at a winery located on the slopes of the notorious volcano. Taste regional wines, including the Lacryma Christi varietal, and enjoy a picnic lunch of fresh local products. At the end of the tour, your private driver will take you back to your accommodation.

Day 12

place Free Day in Sorrento

Today, after breakfast, I suggest you to relax at the beach. Sorrento has many beautiful beaches. One of these is the Marina Piccola Beach, it is a small strip of volcanic sand occupied by a number of beach clubs and a stretch of public beach. Most of the beach clubs have a small area of the waterfront and sundeck over the water, where sun loungers and umbrellas are set up. Another place is Marina Grande fishing village, famous for its excellent seafood restaurants. It also has a small volcanic sand beach where you can bask before or after your memorable lunch. "Regina Giovanna", instead, is what locals call the small tongue of land which juts out into the sea where the Roman ruins of Pollius Felix' villa still stand (also known as the Capo di Sorrento). Through the ancient walls, you'll find a flight of stairs down to a small lagoon joined to the sea by an arch. This tiny private pool is where Queen Giovanna d'Angiò loved to bathe, hence the colloquio name of this stretch of coastline. It's the only place along the shore with easy access to the water, but it is in shade all day. On either side, the water's edge is bordered by large cliffs, making it more difficult to both dive in the water and, more importantly, climb back out. If you continue along the pathway to the left, you'll reach an area known as Solara, with flat-topped rocks where you can sunbathe and with easier access into and out of the water. Locals from Sorrento particularly love the area known as Puolo, both for its beach and its easy access for families. There is a large stretch of beach here, and the water along the shore is quite shallow. Enjoy relaxing at the beach during your free time!!

place Transfer to Rome

Today, after breakfast, you will check out from your hotel to be transferred to the capital: Rome. Your private driver will take you to Naples train station. Here you will catch the high-speed Freccia Train to Rome. At the station, your private driver is waiting for you and will transfer you to your centrally located hotel. Then you will have free time. I suggest you to go to the Via Vittorio Veneto: walking down this elegant boulevard - as well as being renowned for its stylish hotels and lively bars - it will showcase some truly unique and exclusive stores from high fashion to authentic Italian boutiques. For a great walk and wonderful outdoor experience, head to the Gardens of Villa Borghese. It is the largest public park in Rome featuring a lake, temples, fountains, statues and several museums, the most famous of which is the Borghese Gallery. The Borghese Gallery boasts some of the most splendid (and famous) works of Bernini and Caravaggio and offers one of the best collections of art related to sculpture, painting, and architecture (the building itself is one of the attractions), so this is also another great place for a cultural experience too. As far as food is concerned, Roman cuisine might seem easy, but it is a process of many years, in addition to the combination of the experience of people from all over Italy who have moved to the capital and now make Rome so beautiful, welcoming and even more delicious! During your stay you should definitely try to taste the real "pasta alla amatriciana" as the Italians do in Rome, in a typical "small tavern".
