Day 1

place Airport Transfer

You will arrive at the Cairo International Airport and you will enjoy VIP service all the way. On arrival, you’ll be met by your tour manager, and you will be driven to your hotel in style. After you have checked in, your tour manager will go over your itinerary, answer your questions, and confirm pick-up times for your upcoming Cairo adventures.

Day 2

place Guided tour of Giza Plateau

You will have time to enjoy a peaceful breakfast before your guide arrives to show you around the pyramids of Cairo. You will enjoy a private guided tour of Giza Plateau, which is home to spectacular pyramids of Mykerinus, Chefren, and Cheops. Your adventure will also take you to the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. Return to hotel and night in Cairo.

Day 3

place Optional visits to iconic sites

Breakfast. Optional excursion to Tell Basta to visit to its temple and the well where the Holy Family was supplied with water. Optional visit to Tanis; city that was the capital of Egypt. Optional visit to the city of Ismaeliya on the banks of the Suez Canal. Return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Day 4

place Optional visit to Matarya neighborhood, Mostorod & Belbeis

Breakfast. Optionally, departure to the Matarya neighborhood where you will visit the church of the Virgin Mary and “the tree of Mary”. The trip is resumed towards Mostorod, about 10 kms from El-Cairo, previously called the Mahamma, the bath, since there the Virgin bathed Jesus and washed her clothes. On their return they also passed through there and Jesus Christ created a source of water that continues to exist today. Next, you will visit the city of Belbeis, located about 55 km from Cairo, and you will visit the tree of the Virgin Mary that served to protect the holy family from the sun.

Day 5

place Optional visit to Wadi El Natrun

Breakfast. Optional visit to Wadi El Natrun; town located 120K/M south of Alexandria; the actual birthplace of Christian monasticism. Basically, there were around 50 monasteries, only 4 have survived to modern times. Begin your journey with Deir al-Baramus which is the oldest of which 4 monasteries survive, and in many respects the most isolated, and then proceed to Deir Anba Bishoi whose body is still in the monastery. Continue to Deir Abu Maqar which is the richest monastery now in Wadi El-Natrun, as it has more than 100 monks and 600 workers from the extensive estate that lies in front of it. We finish our excursion with Deir El-Suryani which is the smallest and most compact of the 4 monasteries.
