Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Cusco to the Sacred Valley, where you’ll visit Chinchero, a charming
Andean village and Inca archaeological site believed to have been the country estate of Emperor Tupac Yupanqui.
From there, the group can choose between two inspiring experiences: an easy-to-moderate downhill hike from
Chinchero to the town of Urquillos (subject to availability and additional cost) along ancient Inca trails, or a
guided exploration of the Moray archaeological complex and the natural salt mines of Maras.

Pisaq Exploration & Andean Traditions
On this day, the group will have the option to choose how they wish to explore Pisaq. One option is a moderate hike from Amaru Viacha to the Pisaq archaeological site, following ancient mountain trails with stunning valley views. For a more cultural experience, enjoy a scenic drive to the town square and wander through its charming streets and colorful artisan market. After the activity, unwind with a moment of relaxation in the hot tub or by the bar, before the group gathers again for a traditional Pachamanca dinner back at Lamay Lodge.

Ollantaytambo Fortress & Return to Cusco
In the afternoon of Day 3, after lunch, we board a scenic train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, traveling alongside the Urubamba River and taking in the view of the Andean landscapes. Upon arrival, take some time to relax and enjoy the hotel’s inviting facilities, and enjoy dinner at our partner hotel. Train Ride to Aguas Calientes: 1 hour Optional Activities: Take advantage of the partner hotel’s facilities and inquire about optional activities available (additional cost, subject to availability).

Machu Picchu Discovery & Return to Cusco
After breakfast, a short shuttle (approx. 20 minutes) carries you up the mountain to Machu Picchu. Once inside the citadel, you’ll uncover its history and marvel at the ingenuity of the Inca civilization during a two-hour guided tour. Afterward, enjoy lunch at one of our partner hotels in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, then continue with a scenic sunset drive to Cusco. By evening, you’ll be back in Cusco, ready to unwind after an unforgettable journey.
