Day 3

place Lima- Chilca- Paracas

Departure by private vehicle on the Panamericana. Visit the family farm of Beatrice, where his parents started olive growing 20 years ago, in this very fertile land of Chilca, located 60 km south of Lima. You will discover the process of artisan production of your wines and olives, and then you will make a tasting of organic products in the beautiful hacienda. Duration: around 01h30 Arrival at the hotel in Paracas. At 14:30, departure for a walk on the Pacific, through the dunes of the Paracas reserve. The trail runs along the cliffs of the golden reserve, and ends after a two-hour walk on Mendieta beach. Then you sit on the rocks and watch the spectacle of nature: the sky is orange and reflected in the shadow of the cliffs! This is the perfect place to get to know the reserve out of the ordinary. If you are lucky you will observe the sunset from Mendieta beach. Return to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Discover the breeding of scallops with Luis, who discovered in 2005 in the heart of the Paracas Reserve a great place for them to grow. You will go by boat to an island a few meters from the bay, where scallops are raised, and if you get lucky you will observe sea lions. For the more adventurous, dive into the ocean to get your own lunch. Upon your return, you will enjoy a seafood tasting.

place Arequipa - Puno

In the afternoon you will make the journey Arequipa - Puno by tourist bus. Enjoy a trip between Arequipa and Puno, with stops along the way, so you can appreciate the beauty of the landscapes and take as many photos as you want. Reception at Puno bus station and transfer to the hotel.

Day 9

place Puno- Uros- Llachon- Puno

Departure at 7am towards the local market to discover a wide variety of products typical from the region of Puno. Together with your guide, you will buy all the ingredients needed to prepare the meals of the day. Around 8am, transfert to the harbor to reach the Uros Islands by boat. After twenty-five minutes, you will visit the floating islands which are not natural but were built by the Uros tribe, whose main activity is fishing. In the late morning, we will continue the navigation towards the peninsula of Capachica to reach the small harbor of Llachon. Welcome by the family and you will prepare the lunch all together. Traditional lunch with the Peruvian family. The afternoon is dedicated to the discovery of the daily life of your hosts and especially the activities related to agriculture or fishing. Possibility also to hike on the peninsula or to go by small boat on the lake. In the middle of the afternoon, you will return to Puno and be transfered to the hotel.

Day 10

place Puno - Pukara - La Raya - Marangani - Raqchi - Andahuyalillas - Cusco

Transfer from the hotel to Puno bus station. At 06:45 departure in the bus to Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire (Spanish-English local guide for the whole group) You will appreciate beautiful landscapes throughout the journey, passing by Raya mountain pass at 4 320 meters above sea level. Stop at the village of Pukara, where we will visit the archaeological museum of Pukara. Lunch included (buffet restaurant in Marangani). We will continue to Raqchi to visit the temple of Wiracocha, built with the lava of the Quinchasata volcano. Discovery of the remains of the great administrative city which contains in particular more than 160 circular constructions that served as warehouses to the Empire. Visit of the church of Andahuaylillas nicknamed the Sistine Chapel of the Andes for its inner wealth (wall paintings overlaid on 3 centuries, paintings, altar carved and gilded with gold leaf, organ). Arrive in Cusco at the end of the day. trip 10:50 hrs. Reception at Cusco terminal bus and transfer to the hotel. An English-speaking guide will escort you to your hotel.

Day 11

Departure for a half day dedicated to the discovery of Cuzco's historical downtown. Walk through the picturesque streets and squares of the San Blas neighborhood. Visit the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), and the Cathedral which has many paintings and other treasures of goldsmithery, silver and precious stones. In the late afternoon, accompanied by a professional bartender you will learn how to prepare your own cocktails in 3 emblematic restaurants of Cusco and you will discover all the flavors of Pisco. We will begin the journey in the bar "Tavern" of the Pachapapa restaurant with an introduction to Pisco, its history, and the description of its fermentation processes. We will continue with the tasting of 3 types of pisco, and we'll learn as well how to make the signature cocktail of the house (Cholo Sour, derived from the coca leaf). Then, we'll be heading to the Kion restaurant to prepare a Ten'Cantalá, a cocktail starring pisco and ginger. We'll end the experience in Calle del Medio with a tasting of a pisco punch, meanwhile sharing a delicious appetizer. Duration: between 1h30 et 2 hours

Day 12

place Cusco- Huayopata- Lucmabamba

Immerse yourself totally during 3 days in the communities of producers of the valley of Lucmabamba. You will discover all the secrets of the production of coffee, honey, and passion fruit. On the way, you will cross beautiful Andean landscapes and go through the mountain pass of Abra Malaga, at 4,316 meters above sea level. At this altitude, you will walk through the endemic shrubby trees called Polylepis. You will then descend to the village of Huayopata, observing a real change of ecosystem. Welcome to the Selva, with its banana trees and its coffee plantations! Arrive in Huayopata, meeting with Julia, and walk through their plantations to discover all the local fruits. Lunch at Julia's house. In the early afternoon, we will head by private vehicle to the thermal baths of Colcamayo. Enjoy a relaxing moment on the banks of the Urubamba River, in this complex featuring three pools of different sizes and depths, with temperatures approaching 40 degrees. At the end of the day, you will reach Enrique's house and his family, located in the village of Lucmabamba (2,040 meters above sea level). Dinner and night at Enrique's home. Private room and bathroom with hot water during your stay. Note: For these three days, you will need to bring a small backpack. In the train to Aguas Calientes the luggage limit is 8 kg per person. The rest of your luggage will be kept at your hotel in Sacred Valley or Cusco. Entrance included the Colcamayo hot springs. An English-speaking guide will accompany you.

Day 13

place Lucmabamba

After a good homemade breakfast, you will take a local taxi to Don Gato and Margot's property, passion fruit producers in Lucmabamba. The NGO Care has been working since 2014 in the region to support local agricultural productivity and contribute to the emancipation and empowerment of women in the region. This is how Don Gato and Margot developed their small local business. They will teach you how to harvest the passion fruit and their sales process. You will also taste several derivatives such jam, ice cream, and even a pisco sour with passion fruit! Then heading to Renée's, honey producer. She too was accompanied by Care and is now part of an association that brings together 30 women. She will introduce you to the process of making honey and will make you try several kinds of honey and its derivatives. Back to Enrique's house for lunch. In the early afternoon, you will accompany Enrique to pick up coffee beans and learn the different stages of coffee making: de-pulping, roasting, grinding the beans. Coffee will have no secrets for you! Note: Walk of about 1.5 hours to get to the coffee parcels Free time in late afternoon, dinner and overnight homestay with the family. An english-speaking guide will accompany you.

Day 14

place Lucmabamba- Llactapata- Aguas Calientes

In the morning, departure for a 12-kilometer hike on an Inca road to the village located at the foot of Machu Picchu. The route crosses a valley with abundant vegetation. You will start with a climb of about 2:30 to the Mirador de Qelloqasa (2,860m), then to the archaeological site of Llactapata, which you will visit with your guide. This place was once used by the Incas as a temple and a resting place. From Llactapata, you will enjoy a splendid view of Machu Picchu. After the visit, you will go down to the Aobamba Valley for about 2 hours until you reach the Hydroelectric train station. Lunch, then departure by train to Aguas Calientes. Installation at your hotel. Difference in altitude: + 800 meters / - 1000 meters Walking time: Between 4:30 and 6 hours depending on your walking pace and breaks. An English-speaking guide will accompany you.

Day 15

place Aguas Calientes- Machu Picchu- Aguas Calientes- Ollantaytambo- Cusco

Direct connection to the shuttle service that will drive you to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Departures, for the ascent and as well as the descent, run every 5 minutes. Your guide accompanies you on the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Arrival on the site of Machu Picchu, wonder of the world. Note 1: 1st access to the site 6h, last access: 14h. Entrance to Machu Picchu is regulated by a 3-hour slot on the site. We will communicate the entry schedule to the site that we recommend according to your program. After this confirmation, the schedule for entering the site cannot be changed. Note 2: Possibility to include the ascent of Huayna Picchu or Montaña Machu Picchu (these two climbs are subject to quotas and require early booking) In the afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. Note: the train company allows passengers to carry a cabin bag of up to 8kg max. per person. It will be necessary to leave your "checked" luggage at the deposit of the hotel in the Sacred Valley and Cusco Reception at Ollantaytambo's train station and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
