Arrival Ljubljana
Ljubljana, the charming capital of Slovenia, is a city that feels both intimate and vibrant, offering travelers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication. Nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic, it’s a city where green spaces, riverside cafes, and historic architecture coexist harmoniously.
ITINERARY:
Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport, meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel in the city.
Check in at the historic Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in Ljubljana. While the hotel dates back at least to the 18th century, it moved to its current location at 1 Jurčič Square in 1926. Since then, it has been lovingly renovated and updated, blending tradition with modern touches. After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Once you've had time to unwind after your flight, take a leisurely stroll through Ljubljana's charming town center.
One of the highlights of Ljubljana is its café culture, which is something you’ll quickly fall in love with. When the weather’s warm, the Old Town comes alive with activity as outdoor cafés line nearly every street. The most popular spots can be found along the picturesque Ljubljanica River. Or, if you prefer, take a wander through the city and stop wherever you find a café that catches your eye.
Ljubljana Walking Tour
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a private walking tour of Ljubljana.
Begin your stroll by passing the Baroque-style Town Hall, notable for its clock tower and the picturesque inner courtyard surrounded by elegant pillars and arcades.
Next, head to Town Square, where you’ll encounter the iconic Fountain of the Three Rivers. Originally designed in the late 18th century by the Italian Baroque sculptor Francesco Robba, the fountain was inspired by Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers in Rome. You’ll also visit the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, a striking landmark built in the early 18th century.
Afterwards, take a scenic funicular ride to the top of Castle Hill. Overlooking the Old Town, Ljubljana Castle sits atop a 375-meter-high hill. This medieval fortress has been transformed over the centuries, with much of the current structure dating back to the early 16th century, following a major rebuild after a devastating earthquake.
At the end of the tour, bid farewell to your guide and enjoy the rest of your day at your own leisure.

Bled Tour
After a leisurely breakfast this morning, meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby for a private guided tour of Bled.
Upon arrival in Bled, your expert English-speaking guide will take you on a tour of Bled Castle. The castle’s origins date back to 1004 when German King Henry II granted the estate of Bled to Bishop Albuin of Brixen. At that time, only a Romanesque tower surrounded by a protective wall stood where the current castle now sits. The iconic image of the castle perched above the lake, with the romantic island and its church in the distance, has made Bled a world-renowned destination for centuries. The castle’s terraces offer breathtaking views of the lake and the island.
Next, enjoy a romantic and traditional Pletna boat ride, a unique experience exclusive to Bled. The Pletna boat is operated by skilled oarsmen, a respected profession that requires specialized training. Arrive at the small island in the center of the lake and take in the serene energy that emanates from this picturesque spot.
At the end of the day, bid farewell to your guide and driver, and enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure.

Ljubljana - Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle - Plitvice Lakes
Breakfast and check out.
Meet your driver in the hotel lobby for a private transfer to Plitvice Lakes, with stops at Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle along the way.
Your first stop is Postojna Cave, one of the largest karst caves in the world and one of Slovenia’s top attractions. Known for its stunning stalagmite and stalactite formations, the cave offers an unforgettable experience. A special electric train will take you through about five kilometers of the cave’s total 21 kilometers of passageways. The cave is also home to the unique "human fish," a pale amphibian found nowhere else in Europe. Be sure to bring a jacket and appropriate footwear, as the cave’s temperature is quite cool.
Next, visit Predjama Castle. Perched dramatically on the side of a 123-meter-high cliff, Predjama Castle is one of the most picturesque and striking castles in the world. With its majestic appearance, perched at the entrance to a cave, the castle seems almost impregnable—an architectural marvel built into the rock face that has stood the test of time.
After exploring the castle, continue your journey towards Plitvice Lakes.
Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation located within Plitvice Lakes National Park, the first national park in the world to be added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.
