Ubud and its surroundings
Today, you will be discovering the North of Ubud and its spiritual villages. Journey to the spiritual village of Tampaksiring home to Gunung Kawi and Tirta Empul water source. Tibumana Waterfall One of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls near Ubud. Luckily our driver knows its location Goa Gajah Cave A sacred site that was built in the 9th century and classified by UNESCO as a cultural heritage. Gunung Kawi One of Bali’s most unique archaeological sites with a collection of ancient shrine reliefs carved in the rock overlooking the valley of Pakrisan. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in balinese. The temple compound consists of a bathing structure where Balinese Hindus go for ritual purification. Tegalalang rice fields Located in the small village of Ceking, Tegalalang rice fields are located in a valley and will amaze you with its magnificent views.

Culinary discovering in Ubud
Today you will learn how to cook traditional Balinese dishes. You will start by heading to the local market for shopping! This is a great place to discover local Balinese culture and lifestyle. Your guide will introduce you to the unique style of bargaining in Bali and introduce you to local meat, fish and other ingredients that you can find at the market. Then you will arrive at the Balinese house where you will be welcomed with local coffee or tea by our chef. You will be taught how to cook authentic Balinese dishes using traditional techniques — this includes making your own Bumbu Bali, a local spice’s mix that is essential for adding big flavours to any dish. This is a hands-on cooking class, where you'll chop your own produce and grind ingredients with a pestle and mortar ! After the cooking class in the morning, you will enjoy the dishes you cooked while sharing lunch with the chef and other students.

Tabanan Regency and local villages
You will leave Ubud to explore the west part of Bali and Tabanan Regency. First, you will stop at Taman Ayun temple which is literally translated as “beautiful garden” and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds near the village of Mengwi. Then, you will stop at Sangeh Monkey Forest, a sacred sanctuary where the macaques inhabit both the woods and the 17th century Pura Bukit Sari, a temple located deep within the greens. After your visits, you will head to Marga, a traditional village where you will spend the next few days with a local family. On arrival, you will share a local lunch with them. You will share 3 days and 2 nights and all the meals with your host family and leave with unforgettable memories!

Discovering Balinese local life in the village of Marga
You will spend the day with your hostel family discovering their daily life: offerings, herbal medicine "Boreh", Balinese calendar, Balinese alphabet and handwriting Lontar, recipe for making a Balinese cake or making coconut oil, hiking in nearby rice fields to discover traditional irrigation methods, farming (rice planting, plowing with cows) or simply ride a bike around the village.

The West side of Bali: through rice fields and mountains
After a last morning spent with your family and a lunch shared with them, you will head to the north of Bedugul regency, one of the most exotic parts of Bali! You will visit Jatiluwih rice fields: a UNESCO Heritage Site where you will enjoy 1 hour on an electric bike, cycling around the several paths of the rice terraces. You will have a local lunch overlooking the rice fields. After your lunch, you will stop at the famous Ulun Danu temple that seems to be floating over lake Bratan and then head to Munduk located in the mountains.

Traditional activities in Munduk
Today you will discover traditional Balinese Arts at your hotel. Learn traditional Balinese dance with a professor during a one-hour private dance lesson. Traditional dance is an important part of Bali's rich artistic heritage. Guests will be taught basic Balinese dance movements (finger movement and graceful steps) and their meanings with an expert instructor. Then, you will have a private lesson where you will learn how to create a musical instrument made of bamboo. This class will teach you the art of handcrafted bamboo. At the end of your lesson, you will keep your own bamboo instrument to take back home as a souvenir of this unique experience.

Munduk trekking and heading to the West coast
Spend the day in the wilderness around Munduk Forest: waterfalls, small villages, rice fields and crater lakes. You will meet with your local guide in the morning and head for a walk through the forest, that will allow you to discover extraordinary vegetation and medicinal plants. Visit one of the three waterfalls lost in this magnificent region and then descend to Lake Tamblingan where, depending on the weather, you can cross the lake by traditional canoe. After your trekking, you will head to the west coastal fishermen’s village of Pekutatan. On the way ,you will stop to visit the famous Bunut Bolong Tree, a beautiful banyan tree with a big hole at the bottom.

Ecotourism tour around Pekutatan
Today you will go on an interesting trip around Pekutatan village where you will discover rubber trees, coconut and banana plantations, clove and vanilla trees. The process to make rubber will be shown and explained to you. You will share a local lunch at a 300m altitude with a nice view over the rice fields and the ocean.

Discovering Perancak and Balinese massage art
This morning you will learn another Balinese art: the secret of Balinese massage! You will spend a 2-hours session with a first part dedicated to the presentation of the body anatomy, energy flows and points, immediately followed by a massage on a model under the supervision of a specialist. In the afternoon, you will go on a tour to the colourful traditional market of Negara. From there, after a 20 minutes’ drive, you will discover the Perancak estuary, with its unique fishermen Buggi boats dating from the Arabic conquest and the turtle’s conservation programme initiated by the WWF. On the way back to Dajuma, at sunset time, you will discover the holy temple of Rambut Siwi which is renowned in Bali for its outstanding location overlooking the sea and surrounded by rice-fields.

The south peninsula
You will leave the quiet area of Pekutatan to head to the south Peninsula of Bali called Bukit. On your way, you will stop at the famous Tanah Lot temple which was built on a rock in the ocean. (To avoid the crowds of tourists that fill the place at sunset, you will visit Tanah Lot during daytime). Then for your last night, you will head to Balangan, where your hotel is located, perched on a cliff and with direct access to a beach, perfect to watch the sunset over the ocean.

Spend the day around the Bukit Peninsula to discover Uluwatu temple, perched on the hill overlooking the ocean. You can then discover the most famous beaches of the Peninsula : broken beach, balangan beach, bingin beach, Uluwatu surf spot...
