Day 1

place Arrival Day

On arrival in Tanzania, you will be welcomed by your guide who will then transfer you to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, you may go for the community walk in Usa area.

Day 2

place Visit Mulala village

Mulala village is a typical ruray setting on the southern lower slopes of Mountain Meru. Mulala cultural prograe is run by the Agape women’s group who offers traditional activities like visiting local farms and learn about farming methods and various economic activities. Then later you will visit Marisha river where the local guide will show you common medicinal plants used by villagers.Then later proceed to ziwa la mzungu where a big colon of fruit bats and walk through the coffee and banana plantation.

Day 3

place Ngi’iresi village

After breakfast,you will visit Ngi’iresi village on the slopes of mountain meru.The inhabitats of the village are farmers of the Wa-Arusha tribe. The Wa-Arusha are relatives of the masai but have gradually shifted from pastoralism to mixed farming with agriculture being the main activity.You will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the culture of the Wa-Arusha tribe,listen to age old stories,visit traditional houses and optional indulging in a delicious lunch by the juhudi women’s group.

Day 4

place Markets, Schools, Hospital in Arusha

On this day, you will be visiting schools and markets in Arusha town and hospitals in Arusha for the experience of African markts and its products, school system and healthy care. Have lunch in a local restaurant. Then in the afternoon, get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

place Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park which was named after the river which flows through the park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you can go for the afternoon game drive or decide to relax at the lodge.

place Masai Villages

This day, you will go and visit the Maasai and Barabaig villages as well as hundreds os ancient rock paintings in the vicinity of Kolo on the Dodoma road.

Day 7

place Tarangire to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart and head to Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, go for the afternoon game drive or the forest walk. The park is known for the tree climbing lions.

Day 9

place Hadzabe tribe

On this day you will be visiting the Hadzabe people around lake Nyasi. This is a special tribe in Tanzania which is hunters and gatherers and learn their way of life. You are expected to learn processin of poison from the poison tree, collect fruits, root tubersand hone, colletcting water, traditional dancing, making fire, preparing huts, hunting techniques, life in caves and other activities within their community. Take packed lunch box wth you. Then in the evening, drive back to Karatu for the overnight.

Day 10

place Datoga Tribe

The second visit will be to the Datoga tribe. They are neighbours with the Hadabe tribe near lake Eyasi. Lke Eyasi is a scenic soda lake founf on the southern boarder of Ngorongoro area. You will learn the general life of the Datoga tribe,, how mud and dung huts are prepared, preparing cattle fence {boma}, learning the dress code for men and women, cow milking and preapring butter, flour making using grinding stone, preparing local beer and any other activity as time may may dictate.

Day 11

place Karatu – Ngorongoro, Home of the Maasai tribe

After your healthy breakfast, drive and head for Ngorongoro conservation area which is believed to be the birth place for mankind arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you can go for the afternoon game drive or relax at the lodge.

Day 12

place Maasai Villages

You will visit the maasai villages after your breakfast and experience the daily cores of the Maasai families. Have a walk around the Maasai communites and interact with those who can speak English and for those who can’t speak English, the guide will be interpreting for the clients.

Day 13

place Olduvai Gorge

You will get morning breakfast and then drive to the Olduvai gorge. This is populary referred to as the Cradle of Human kind. It is the site where Louis Leake in 1959 discovered the skull is Zinjanthropus or Nutcracker man believed to have lived 1.75 million years ago.

Day 14

place Visit Masai village

After your breakfast, visit the Maasai manyatas {dung houses} and their community. Spend the day visiting different Maasai homes and participate in the day to day activities.

Day 15

place Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti which was named after the Masai Word, ‘Siringet’ which means endless plains of short and long grass. The park is famous for its large prides of lions, cheetah, wild dogs and wildebeest. Have lunch at the lodge then go for the afternoon game drive.

Day 16

place Flight back to Arusha

place Slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro
