After breakfast, set off on safari with your private driver and vehicle to Tarangire National Park (approx. 120 km). Named forthe river that nourishes the wildlife of a vast ecosystem, Tarangire is home to elephant, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, waterbuck, lion, giraffe, onyx and an unsurpassed diversity of birds. From June to November, masses of wildlife congregate around the river, but the park is a stronghold for big game year-round. Take your first game drive before retiring to your beautifully designed lodge, hidden among ancient baobab trees and giant rock kopjes within the park.

After breakfast and check out, the legendary Serengeti Plain is your next destination (240 km), a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. Your camp lies right in the heart of the central Serengeti, a spectacular and secluded location which boasts year round game.

Today we enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoiled by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. Depending on the movement of the wildlife, you may be served a picnic lunch at a picnic site or take hot lunch from your lodge.

You will enjoy yet another morning game drive in Serengeti before driving back to your camp for breakfast and check out, after which you start your journey to Ngorongoro. This afternoon you will relax and enjoy the breathtaking spectacular views of the Ngorongoro scenery, the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Note: a warm jacket or cardigan is highly recommended. Your accommodation is a little pocket of paradise complete with a delicately crafted landscape dotted with indigenous trees that brings you close to nature.

After breakfast you descend some 610 meters into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game viewing drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic site (hippos pool). Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world, has an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, golden and black backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. In the evening we drive back to our game lodge for overnight stay.

After breakfast and check out you head back to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar. The flight to Zanzibar takes approx. 1 ¼ hours and upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your Beach hotel, where you will be spending the following 3 nights at your leisure. Referred to a Spice Island beachfront sensation in Zanzibar, your hotel enjoys views of the Indian Ocean and direct beach access.
