‘Sawasdee kha’ and welcome to Bangkok, the "Smile Land" of Thailand. You arrive at Bangkok Airport on your international flight TBA, where your airport representative will be waiting to greet you. From here, you continue by transfer into the city, making your first arrival in Thailand smooth and straightforward.
As you enter Bangkok, you are introduced to Thailand’s capital, a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The Chao Phraya River runs through the city and feeds its network of canals, passing the Rattanakosin royal district. Day 2: Bangkok Temple Discovery | Local transfers and royal landmarks
Today, you explore Bangkok by local transfers, an experience designed to help you understand more about the culture, the system, and the people in Thailand. Your English-speaking guide meets you in your hotel lobby and takes you first to Wat Arun. Built during the Ayutthaya period, this temple is named after Aruna, the Indian god of the dawn, which is why it is commonly known as the Temple of Dawn.
After visiting Wat Arun, you take a local ferry boat to the opposite pier to continue to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. At the Grand Palace, you can also see the famous Emerald Buddha. Once the sightseeing is complete, you are transferred back to your hotel, bringing the day’s temple visits and local transport experience in Bangkok to a close.
Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and the Grand Palace are among Bangkok’s most important historic and religious landmarks, each reflecting a different aspect of Thailand’s royal and Buddhist heritage.

Around 06.00-06.30, you are picked up from your hotel and depart for Kanchanaburi province, 128 km west of Bangkok. After arriving, you visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum, information, and research facility that presents the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. You then continue to Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, a memorial to some 6,000 Allied prisoners of war who perished along the Death Railway line and were moved there after the war.
The morning also includes the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai, part of the Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre, then descend the long stairs behind the museum to Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail along the original rail bed. Afterward, take a long-tailed boat from Phu Takien pier to River Kwai Jungle Rafts. Dinner is followed by a 45-minute presentation of traditional Mon Dance.

Today, your driver transfers you to the airport for a short domestic flight to Chiang Mai, the famous city of northern Thailand. On arrival, your driver welcomes you at the airport and takes you into the city. You then visit four revered temples in Chiang Mai, all constructed during the Lanna period and each reflecting the glory, splendors, and nobility of a rich historical era, beginning with the city’s temple highlights.
In the center of the city, visit Wat Phra Singh, first built during the reign of Phra Chao Kham Fu from 1328 to 1335, including the Lai Kam Chapel. Continue to Wat Chedi Luang, where the large chedi was built by King Saen Muang Ma around 1401, once 90 meters high and now 40 meters after the 1545 earthquake, with the Sao Intakin near the entrance. You also visit Wat Chiang Man in the northern part of the old walled city, built by King Mengrai from 1296 to 1311. Drive around the old city to see the moat and ruins of the city gates, then visit Worarot Market, lively with fresh fruits, preserved food, local delicacies, clothes, flowers, and other knick-knacks. In the afternoon, you have free time to relax, walk nearby, or take local transport for a self-guided experience.
Chiang Mai was the center of the Lanna kingdom, and its major temples remain key examples of that historical period.

There, you change into traditional hill tribe clothing and begin with an introductory lesson on elephant anatomy, history, and behavior.
Before lunch, you feed, interact, and play with the elephants in their natural home while learning more about their behavior and history. Around noon, enjoy traditional Thai food and fresh fruit, then walk with the elephants to the river to take part in bathing and brushing. The afternoon also includes a therapeutic mud spa and one final communal swim in the river. In mid-afternoon, change back into your normal clothes and return to Chiang Mai.

Day 8: Koh Tao by Speedboat | Snorkeling, viewpoints, and island beaches
Today’s small-group tour from Koh Samui to Koh Tao and Nang Yuan takes 8 to 9 hours. You are met at your hotel reception or villa between 07:30 and 08:30, depending on your location, then travel by air-conditioned minivan to Bophut pier. There, you have a light breakfast snack with coffee, tea, or water before boarding the sunshade speedboat at 9:30. The crossing to Koh Tao takes about 1 hour, weather permitting, with views of the Gulf of Thailand and Koh Samui as you pass Koh Phangan heading north.
At Koh Tao, the snorkeling stop depends on the season and weather conditions, with Mango Bay, Hin Wong Bay, or Lighthouse Bay used as the suitable bay. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and after snorkeling around 12:00 pm, you go ashore for a Thai-style lunch at a restaurant on Koh Tao, typically with rice and curries, chicken, and Pad Thai. Later, continue to Koh Nang Yuan for beach time, a climb to the viewpoint if you are up to it, and snorkeling at the Japanese garden. At 15:00, return by speedboat to Koh Samui in about 90 minutes, with water provided on the way back, then continue by air-conditioned minivan and arrive no later than 17:00, depending on road conditions. Day 9: Samui at Leisure | Free day for rest
Today is set aside for relaxation on your own in Koh Samui. After several active travel days, this gives you time to slow the pace and enjoy a peaceful break within the trip. The schedule is fully open, so you can decide how to use the day according to your own rhythm and interests.
You may take a walk at the beach, sunbathe on the sand, or read a book under a shady coconut tree. This free day offers space to rest and enjoy your vacation without fixed timings, transfers, or organized visits, making it a simple and quiet pause before your departure from the island.
Koh Samui is closely associated with coconut cultivation, which helped shape the island’s landscape and local identity for many years.

Day 10: Depart from Samui | Airport transfer for onward flight
Depending on your international flight timing, your driver picks you up and transfers you to Samui Airport. This final day is arranged around your departure schedule, keeping the connection straightforward and allowing you to leave the island according to the timing of your flight. The transfer is the only planned service today.
Please note that Samui Airport has limited international flight options. If needed, an additional domestic flight to other airports in Thailand can be booked with extra charges. This is an important planning detail for your onward journey, especially if your international departure is not available directly from Koh Samui.
Samui Airport serves the island with a more limited flight network than Thailand’s main mainland gateways, which can affect onward international travel planning.
