Welcome to Bolivia! Today, you’ll arrive in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, a lowland city located at 400 meters above sea level. Santa Cruz is a young and cosmopolitan city with modern restaurants, clubs, and commercial districts. You will be picked up at the Viru Viru International Airport (VVI) and transferred to your accommodation where you can relax in the hotel before beginning your city tour around the city center. Afterward, you'll have some free time to rest before tomorrow's journey to Sucre activities.

Travel to the White City of Sucre
This morning, a driver will pick you up at your hotel for your flight to Sucre, the constitutional capital of Bolivia. After a 50-minute flight, you’ll arrive at the airport and travel by paved road for 40 minutes to the city, and then settle into your hotel. In the afternoon, a local guide will take you on a walking tour of the city center, where you will learn about the city's role in Bolivian history and in the history of Latin America in general. First, you will visit La Casa de la Libertad, where Bolivia's proclamation of independence from Spain was signed. You will also visit the ASUR Museum of Indigenous Art, a museum with textiles and other art forms of indigenous groups from the southern Andes as well as textile arts by indigenous groups from the region. After the tour, you'll have the rest of the day free to continue exploring the city.

Tarabuco Market
Today, we will go to Tarabuco town and its renowned market. The market is only held on Sundays and is an important place for exchange and income generation for communities in the surrounding valleys. The market is famous for its textiles and many other products that artisans from around the region bring to sell and sometimes exchange with other products. In the market, you’ll be able to see different kinds of aguayos, ponchos, and souvenirs, many with unique designs. We will have a traditional lunch in the town and later have time for a stroll around the town before returning to our hotel. Note: Tarabuco market is only available on Sundays, for regular days, we can visit Candelaria town, show us the traditional textiles from the region.

Sucre - Potosi + Casa de la moneda
After breakfast, our driver will pick you up to go on a highly scenic 2-3hour drive from Sucre to the colonial city of Potosi, like Sucre declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After your check-in and accommodation at your hotel, we will go on a walking tour around the traditional colonial streets, the artisan market, and pay a visit to the famous National House of the Mint (Casa Nacional de la Moneda) where original minting machinery is on display. After the tour, we will return to the hotel and you will have the rest of the evening free.

Potosí- Tupiza
Today, we will begin a new journey to the beautiful town of Tupiza, a place of amazing landscapes notable for its striking red rock formations. After a drive of about four hours, we will arrive at the hotel for check-in and have the rest of the afternoon to take a stroll around the town and rest. Additionally, we can have an extra activity like horse riding, just ask the guide about the possibilities!

Tupiza - El Sillar lunar landscape - Quetena
Early in the morning, we will begin our four-day 4WD adventure through the Eduardo Avaroa National Park and the Uyuni Salt Flats. The park is well known for its incredible rock formations, giant volcanoes, bubbling and steaming geysers, and the immensity of the Dali and Siloli. High altitude deserts In addition we will be able to see as many as three endemic species of flamingos, to finally arrive at the largest (and whitest) salt flat in the world, aka the Salar de Uyuni. Today, we leave Tupiza and drive up to Quebrada de Palala and El Sillar, places with amazing rock formations that look like lunar landscapes and then we continue to the dusty mining village of Nazarenito and the eerie ghost town of San Antonio. After lunch, we pass through El Torreon and Morejon lagoon to finally arrive by the end of the afternoon at our lodge located in the village of Quetena for a traditional warm dinner and rest. Immerse into the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve
Yes, that’s right….another early start as we head south once again in the direction of Kollpa lagoon and the border of salar de Chalviri, enjoying the views and with the Uturunco super-volcano as a witness. We will arrive at Polques for an optional dip in the thermal waters and later go through Dalí desert and a visit to the White and Green lagoons, located at the foot of Volcan Licancabur. We then continue our trip to the highest point of our tour at 5000 meters above sea level for a visit to the Sol de Mañana geysers. Our next stop is the famous Red Lagoon or Laguna Colorada, striking for the bright red color of the water, produced by the species of algae and plankton that live in the lake. We then visit the Stone Tree and the Siloli desert, close to which we will find our lodge, right located in the middle of the desert. Tour time: 10 hour approximately with stops

Colorful Lagoons & Andean Wildlife
After a good breakfast, we will continue on our way, driving along small lagoons like Chiarkota and Hedionda. We eventually reach the mining village of San Cristobal and by the end of the afternoon, we reach our salt hotel in Colchani. We will have time for rest and if you feel with energy for a night adventure, we can arrange for a short trip out on the flats for star and Milky Way observation. an amazing spectacle for our eyes and cameras. Tour time: 10 hours approximately with stops

Explore the Uyuni Salt Flats
After breakfast, we depart the hotel to visit the salt-harvesting village of Colchani and see how locals produce salt. Later we will enter into the amazing Uyuni salt flats, see the salt museum and visit the bizarre Incahuasi Island, covered in enormous cacti, and an amazing 360º view of the flats. After lunch, we will have time for funny and perspective pictures before going to our final stop at the famous train cemetery, which is full of rusting train cars that were once used to transport minerals and people to and from Uyuni. From this point, we will go to the airport to take our flight back to La Paz city. Tour time: 8 hours approximately with stops
