Day 1

place Madrid Arrival

Upon arrival at Madrid Airport, please collect your luggage and make your way into the Arrivals Hall, where your driver will be waiting for you with a sign saying your name. Enjoy a leisurely ride to your centrally located hotel. After a day at leisure, the gastronomic welcome is provided by DiverXO, arguably Spain's most daring restaurant. Intense and gluttonous, the triple Michelin Star restaurant matches its dishes with unique canvases: the food here does not always come out on a plate. Part work of art and part untempered indulgence, DiverXO represents what Spanish dining is all about. Food is important. Yet it's just a part of the experience: decor, warmth, great wine, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay at the dinner table for hour upon hour. Dining is the core of Spain's socializing, and it's in these remarkable restaurants that a country's culture is showcased.

Good Morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Private Sevilla Bike Tour. You will be met at the hotel by our local expert guide for a private tour of Sevilla by bike! Sevilla is a city rich in history. And there is no better way to explore Sevilla than by bike. The city is flat, offers marked cycle lanes, and is almost always sunny! This half day private tour will show you the essential places you cannot miss: The Royal Alcazar, the Cathedral Santa Maria de la Sede, and more. The walls of the Alcazar preserve a thousand years of history, and the fortress itself holds an imposing location in the center of the city. As the oldest royal residence in Europe still in use, keep this site in mind for this afternoon, in case you want to venture inside! Following the outer Alcazar wall, you’ll arrive at the Jewish neighborhood, today called the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Like many medieval Spanish Jewish quarters, it still retains its layout. It was one of the largest Jewish communities of the 14th century, along with those in Toledo and Córdoba. You’ll also get to see Plaza de España, built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and used in several films since then. The plaza has row boats for rent in the moat that flows through the square and is lined with horse carriages that head back to the city center. Just in front of Plaza España, you’ll find the Maria Luisa Park, a lush green area of Sevilla. Enjoy a short ride through the shaded pathways for an escape from the busy city streets before heading back to your hotel. This afternoon would be a great opportunity to explore the inside of the Alcazar on your own! Private Flamenco and Tapas Tour. After meeting in the hotel lobby, follow your guide to one of Sevilla’s most authentic and traditional Flamenco tablaos. This show captures the pure essence of traditional Andalusian music and dance culture. Be swept away by the raw emotions and energy that is Flamenco.

Breakfast at the hotel. Wake up to a beautiful day in San Sebastian and enjoy this beautiful city. At 13:00 we will make a reservation at the Michelin Star awarded Akelarre Restaurant. Private Pintxos Tour. Dine in San Sebastian like a local, led by our friendly and knowledgeable Basque guide. Our expert foodie guide will meet you at a designated meeting point to begin your Pintxo Tour in the old town of San Sebastian. Pintxos (Basque tapas) line every bar in San Sebastian’s famed Old Town, but knowing where to find the best ones is an art. While it’s hard to have a bad meal in town, knowing exactly where to go for the best, freshest, and most exciting pintxos takes local, insider knowledge. This is just what you will be getting! A pintxo is a small snack, typically eaten in bars, traditional in northern Spain and especially popular in the Basque Country and Navarre. They are usually eaten as a small snack while spending time with friends or relatives. They are related to tapas with the main difference being that pintxos are usually 'spiked' with a skewer or toothpick, often to a piece of bread. You’ll dive straight into the culinary heart of the city for a night of eating and drinking unlike any you’ve ever experienced. From fresh prawns to line- caught baby squid to perfectly charred steak, the pintxo hunt changes nightly, but always features a range of traditional spots and chic, avant-garde bars. Come thirsty too, as you’ll be pairing each pintxo with the perfect drink; from cider to local whites and reds. This is the best way to get acquainted with the city on your last night in San Sebastian. And of course, you’ll finish the evening with something sweet, such as San Sebastian’s award-winning, traditional cheesecake.
