The French & Italian Riviera
The first stop in Italy will be Seborga, a little village with a quirky history, which we’ll share with you before you wander through its pretty streets. Then discover a very special Olive Oil producer hidden in the hills, but favoured by the world’s top chefs. We will head downhill to the Belle Époque seaside town of Bordighera and then after a short drive along the Nervia River, the next stop will be the exceptionally perched village of Dolceacqua… a firm favourite with Claude Monet and Friend in France! Once you've crossed the striking medieval bridge, every street you walk down and every corner you turn will hold new surprises: amazing architecture, stunning views, artist’s galleries, a countryside path, a castle, etc. If you fancy a local lunch (not included), we'll take you to a charming restaurant on the river, where you'll be able to taste delicious local delicacies in an authentic location. Before leaving the village, the last stop will be to taste local wines and digestifs at a specialist shop. On the trip back to France we will take you along the Grande Corniche, which boasts the very best views of Menton, Monaco, Eze village and St Jean Cap Ferrat. Our Top Tip: In Dolceacqua don't miss the countryside walk above the village for wonderful views of the castle from above.
