Trip Snapshot
This unique group tour combines two diverse yet complementary adventures across two Central Asian countries: an accessible trekking experience in the majestic Pamir Mountains and an immersive cultural journey through the legendary Silk Road cities of Osh, Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara. The journey begins in Kyrgyzstan, in its “Southern capital”, Osh, from where we embark on an unforgettable expedition along the legendary Pamir Highway (M-41 Road) – one of the world’s most scenic and remote mountain roads – leading us into the vast high-altitude wilderness of the Pamirs. Here, we’ll stay in the comfortable "Edelweiss Meadow" yurt camp (3600 m), surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. The trekking is gentle and rewarding, guided by an experienced mountain leader. In addition to the stunning scenery, we’ll have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the nomadic way of life, participate in a hands-on plov cooking masterclass led by a chef, and experience the warm hospitality of the Pamir people. Descending from the mountains, we’ll travel through the fertile Ferghana Valley into Uzbekistan, where we’ll explore some of the world’s most spectacular medieval architecture. Samarkand will impress with its imperial grandeur, echoing its past as the capital of Tamerlane’s empire. Bukhara, a UNESCO treasure, will captivate with its labyrinth of narrow, winding streets weaving between monumental Islamic landmarks. This tour is ideal for travelers who love both mountain adventures and the rich cultural tapestry of the Silk Road, offering a perfect balance of expedition spirit and architectural wonders.
