Trip Snapshot
This group tour seamlessly combines active mountain adventures in Kyrgyzstan with cultural explorations of Uzbekistan’s ancient cities. In one trip, you will experience two diverse countries, transitioning from the untouched beauty of the mountains to the architectural wonders of human civilization. The first half of the journey takes you deep into the pristine landscapes of the Western Tien Shan, where you will trek along gentle mountain trails through pine forests, stunning gorges, and the stunning Sary-Chelek Lake region. A mountain guide and a support team will accompany the group, while pack horses carry personal belongings and communal gear, making the trek light and enjoyable. The second half marks the return to civilization as we cross from Kyrgyzstan into Uzbekistan through the lush Fergana Valley, a land of master artisans who have preserved the ancient traditions of silk weaving and exquisite ceramics. From there, we embark on an awe-inspiring journey to the legendary Silk Road cities – Samarkand and Bukhara. Expect to be enchanted by the grandeur of medieval Islamic architecture, the vibrant markets bursting with fresh fruits and spices, the rich flavors of Uzbek cuisine, and the warm hospitality of the local people. This tour is the perfect fusion of mountain adventure and cultural immersion, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of Central Asia!
