Transfer by boat from Port Denarau to Barefoot Kuata, part of the Yasawas Island. Someplace between the end of the earth and the beginning of heaven, is a little slice of paradise called Kuata. It is along this unspoiled stretch of beach forming the gateway to the Yasawas, that was built Kuata Island’s eco-lodge, where Fijian warriors once protected the ragged volcanic coastline. An ecologically sensitive refurbishment is well underway, using design principles that pay tribute to the island’s rich Fijian heritage. The surrounding coastline has been declared a marine park and offers many diverse ecosystems to explore; from craggy rock pools to pristine coral reefs and sandy white beaches.

An 80km stretch of brilliant white beaches and secluded bays along the southern shores of Viti Levu, the Coral Coast is a beachcomber’s paradise. Situated along the coast from the long white beach of Natadola Bay to the West through to the beginning of the Serua Hills in the East and centred around the market town of Sigatoka, the area is famous for its natural beauty and culture. And you can’t miss the large coral reef just off the mainland, which provides endless opportunities for underwater exploration. Korolevu, on the banks of the Sigatoka River, is the birthplace of tourism in Fiji, with the first hotel first in the 1950s. The coast is also home to many local villages where you can get a glimpse of the real Fiji. HIGHLIGHTS -Miles of shoreline and close proximity to the Sigatoka river means that water sports are abundant on the Coral Coast. From snorkeling or diving around coral reefs. -Nature enthusiasts can visit the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, home to an extensive dune system and archaeological sites dating back 3,000 years. -The Kula Wild Adventure Park, Fiji’s only wildlife park, can also be found on the Coral Coast. With endangered native species like the peregrine falcon and crested iguana, it’s about as wild as Fiji gets. - Sigatoka River Safari, an half-day eco/cultural adventure transports you deep into the heart & soul of Fiji, aboard jet boat. Cruise your way up the magnificent Sigatoka River to visit authentic Fijian villages and experience a day in the life of the real 'kaiviti' (Fijian). -Hot Glass, an glassblowing experience where you can make your own unique glass piece. Jetboat on Sigatoka River
One more day to enjoy all the activities we have suggested. Jetboat on Sigatoka River: 8.45am-9.25am: transfer to Sigatoka with tour guide. From this time until guests reach the Sigatoka River Safari jetty, the driver or guide will explain more about the history of the Sigatoka Valley. The Safari team will welcome guests upon arrival. Here the guests will find restrooms available and lockers for safe keeping of extra bags/change of clothes. After receiving life jackets and their safety briefing among other announcement, the jet boat Captains will lead guests to their respective jet boats and the quick photo snap with their captain. Around 10.30 am, time spent at the host village: Arrive at designated/host village, where upon meeting village guide, guests will have a “i-sevusevu” or traditional kava ceremony and are able to have a taste of kava and meet the chief of the village and the other elders. After the ceremony the village guide will lead the new friends(newly welcomed village members) for a tour around the village, where they can ask all questions about life in the village etc. This is than followed by lunch and entertainment. At 12.40 pm Guests head down to the river and enjoy their homeward journey, which includes a few gentle, manoeuvres (Sigatoka Spins-360 degrees). If guests do not wish to partake in this aspect of the tour they are able to inform their captain and they will allow their guests to disembark. Then the Captain will then head out with the remaining guests to perform the signature spins. 1.30pm-2.00pm: Depart Sigatoka River Safari base.

In less than an hour’s drive from Suva on Fiji’s southern coast, Pacific Harbour is the self-labelled ‘Adventure Capital of Fiji’. Shrouded in lush rain forest, fed by countless waterfalls and protected by challenging rapids, the Upper Navua River is Fiji rafting at its best. If you want something less challenging you could paddle a kayak through the gentle waters of the Middle Navua River through the heart of Viti Levu. The relaxed pace will allow you plenty of time to take in the surrounding sites of villages and people as we pass through the verdant jungle interior. It’s also possible to do some tubbing on Navua River. -Zipline, Feel the adrenalin rush over eight giant zip lines high above the forest floor and the Wainadoi River valley. Enjoy a classic ‘canopy tour’ with stunning views and thrilling rides while you experience the distinctive flora and fauna and local culture accompanied by English-speaking native guides. You’ll be in the air for nearly 2km, before landing on the ground back at the Bure and the end of your adventure. Each platform has a unique Fijian name inspired by the breath-taking view – ask the personnel to tell you what they mean!
