Day 2

place Half day colonial Lima city tour

You will visit Lima´s Historic Center, the City of Kings, the most important city in America during colonial times. Explore the Santo Domingo Convent, which was built in 1535 and stands today. Then, take a walk towards the Main Plaza, where you will find the Government Palace, the Archbishop´s Palace, the Lima Municipality, and the Cathedral. There, you will have the chance to photograph the plaza and its beautiful colonial buildings. Next, you will walk towards the Cathedral, to appreciate its renaissance decoration style, as well as its status of apostles. Then, you will visit the San Francisco Convent, considered one of Lima´s most historic buildings, where you will find the catacombs, Lima's oldest and most famous cemetery. You will be assisted at the hotel and transferred to the airport according to the flight departure schedule. Upon arrival, you will be assisted at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Day 3

place Visit the towns and archeological centers of Pisac

You will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, towards the town of Pisac. Before arriving, you will make a stop at the Taray viewpoint, where you will have an unbeatable view of the area. Once in Pisac, you will visit the ruins ​overlooking the Vilcanota River, which will amaze you for their fascinating architecture. Then, you will visit the colorful market of Pisac, where you will find various products from the area. You will then head to a restaurant in Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Then, continue to the fortress of Ollantaytambo enjoying the beautiful landscapes on the way.

Day 4

place Full day to Choquechaka conservation area & Pumamarka and Ollantatytambo ruins

The restoration of natural areas is a debt that humanity has to the world. Start your day early with a visit to Pumamarka Ruins and continue hiking from there through the Choquechaka Conservation Area. During the walk, we will learn about Andean forests and ecosystems and the importance of restoring and preserving them. We will get to observe and learn to differentiate between three different types of polylepis trees: the queuña, the chachacomo, and the unca. After about 4 hours of hiking, connecting with nature, and learning, we will get to the end of the hike and continue by car to Ollantaytambo. There, we will enjoy a traditional Pachamanca lunch and tour of El Albergue Farm and nursery, guided by your localhost, who will share their knowledge about sustainability, reforestation, and local production in the Andean World and more specifically about Valle Sagrado Verde’s plans for restoring the natural environment in Ollantaytambo and the Sacred Valley. After lunch, you will continue visiting the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an Inca military, religious and agricultural center, located on top of a mountain. Then, you will visit the town of the same name -which maintains the urban planning from Inca times- where you can walk through the picturesque streets and shop at the market.

Day 5

place Machu Picchu tour by Visadome train

At the scheduled time, you will be picked up and transferred to the station to board the Vistadome train service and start the amazing experience of being at the Inca´s citadel. You will visit one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. Your excursion starts aboard a train towards the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train ride the best way to start your visit. Once you arrive, you will begin the ascent to the ruins. This visit will, without a doubt, be one of your most memorable experiences. After you reach the top, you will take a tour of Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, with amazing sceneries all around, you will surely have more than one spectacular photo-op. Then, you will go back to Aguas Calientes. Finally, you will board the Vistadome train for the return journey. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6

place Misminay - The complete experience

First, in the morning, you will head to a nice Andean Plaza where is located our hostess’s house, Mr. Amilcar, is de head of the Artistic Cultural Association “Piel de Sal”, here, as an introduction, our hostess tells us about the different types of hats in the area and the symbolism behind them, what they say about the social status of a person within the community, the manufacturing process, etc. During the activity, you will be given a mini hat to, with the teacher's guidance, paint with a white base, sew-on, and add decorative ribbons or pearl shell-style finishes. Afterward, visit the Misminay community, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival, the townspeople will give you a warm welcome with typical music and dances. You will explore local gastronomy through a wonderful cooking class*, beginning your experience with the planting and harvesting of some products, according to the season. Then, next to your hosts, you will prepare a delicious traditional dish using only local products, which you will enjoy for lunch. In the afternoon, your hosts will guide you with music and chants towards the Moray viewpoint*, where you will have a privileged view of this important Inca agricultural center and the Sacred Valley. At night, your hosts will accompany you next to a bonfire* where they will share local stories while you appreciate the beautiful and starry Cusco sky. Afterward, share with them a delicious Andean dinner before spending the night at a local home.

Day 7

place Misminay - The complete experience

Enjoy a traditional breakfast and then join your hosts to take part in an agricultural activity, where you will learn about the agricultural calendar and the traditional techniques and tools used to harvest the land*. You will then enjoy one last delicious and hearty meal, followed by a farewell ceremony, where your local hosts will express their gratitude for your visit. You will set off for Chinchero, a charming valley town, to witness how the townsfolk spin and weave using traditional Andean techniques that they have preserved. Afterward, you will continue your trip back to Cusco.

place Workshop Leyenda en Proceco by Totemiq

The purpose of this workshop is for you to experience the legend, involving yourself in the process in a participative way, guided by the artists who conduct the workshop. Through it, you will understand and learn the origins and history of the souvenirs that you will make with your own hands. You will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience based on the local legend of the icons of the Andes, through two workshops on local Cusquenian artistic production techniques. You will participate in all the processes of Colonial Cusquenian Glass Ceramics (lathing, enameling, and painting) by crafting a traditional torito and Caballito (little bull and horse) of Pucará in a contemporary manner using lamina of brass, aluminum, and acrylic.
