Head towards Arenal Volcano
Breakfast in the hotel. At morning, Embrace the living culture of Bajos del Toro, highlighting unique elements of Costa Rica's rural communities. Learn to palm fresh tortillas at Doña Olga's home. Then you will travel to the Arenal Volcano in the Northern Plains region. Majestic in its grand stature, the volcano is one of the country’s natural wonders. While the volcano is quiet these days and there are no lava eruptions, you can still see clouds of smoke or ash emanating from the top of the cinder cone. As well, you can enjoy the plentiful hot springs in the area. Along your journey to the town of La Fortuna, at the base of the volcano, you will see agricultural plantations, large ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle farms.

Breakfast in the hotel. Today, your trip continues to the Nicoya Peninsula, the country's largest peninsula, located in the Puntarenas province. Here you will find some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches, ideal for those looking to have some fun in the sun. The gastronomy on offer is broad and diverse, from Costa Rican to Italian, Mexican, Asian, Argentinean, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Santa Teresa is a mixture of many cultures in one place. Breakfast in the hotel. Free day. Santa Teresa’s economy thrives primarily on tourism. There is a long, main street, between the forest and the beach, where you can find hotels and restaurants. Santa Teresa is popular with both tourists and residents for its spectacular landscapes and nature, and its relaxed, zen vibe. Nightlife is fun with beach parties featuring international DJs mixing electronic music.

Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will travel to the warm coast of the Central Pacific to Punta Leona you will enjoy a fascinating place for nature and bird-watching, with beautiful beaches and calm coves perfect for swimming.

Enjoy a canopy and horsebackriding tour
You will first start with the 2 hour zip line at the canopy of the rainforest. This adventure includes a 15 minute tractor ride up to the top of the mountain; you will then descend on a series of 12 platforms and 10 cables, including one of the longest in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific.After the Zip Line you will enjoy a horseback riding when you will ride for about 45 minutes to the top of the mountain, and then hike down to the waterfalls and natural swimming pools.

Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a yoga class at morning. Know about the cocoa plantations: Since ancient times, cocoa has been vital to life in Central America. Mayans invented the basics of preparing cocoa, a process still used today—fermentation, drying and roasting of the beans, then shelling, grinding and milling. People from all levels of society consumed cocoa daily as a beverage. Nobility drank the dark liquid in cups hand-decorated by artists, and it was the favorite drink of Mayan kings and priests. You’ll see these ancient traditions practiced at Macaw today. The tour takes you through our cocoa plantations to learn about the varieties of cocoa trees, characteristics and the fruit, as well as all that’s involved in the process of bringing this beneficial fruit to the table.
