Day 1

Arrived in Yellowknife. Organize your own transfer to your hotel and check in. Make a first discovery of the snow-covered city and acclimatize a little to the temperature that can be biting in this season. Overnight in Yellowknife.

Day 2

10am is the big departure for your lodge, only accessible by bush plane, close to the shores of Great Slave Lake. 30 minutes later, land on the huge frozen lake, alone in the world in the heart of the pristine white vastness of the Northwest Territories. Home and installation at the lodge in your room or cabin. Take your marks quietly by taking part in a short tour of the place. For dinner, enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal from local produce. Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3

Today, go snowshoeing with your guide, through the forest. Get ready, the scenery is just breathtaking! In the late afternoon, when night begins to fall, take part in one of the manual workshops offered such as making a lip balm with pine sap harvested yourself, a wooden dream sensor or paint. Dinner and evening at the Lodge. There is a very good chance of being able to observe the Northern Lights here. Stay up tonight and wait patiently, warm in the lodge, on the lake or in the teepee set up nearby with a wood fire or ask that you be woken up when they point the tip of their nose!

Day 4

Another day to enjoy the exceptional site of Blachford Lake Lodge. You may decide to join a guided snowmobile outing or ice fishing (paying to book in advance), or try the other outdoor activities freely at your disposal: fatbike, skating on a beautiful ice ring, snowshoes, cross-country skiing. Want to relax? Grab a good book and read in the lounge, by the fire, do your yoga or dive into the outdoor whirlpool for a moment of extreme relaxation. Dinner and evening at the Lodge. Observation of the Northern Lights at your convenience.

Day 5

Day 6

Departure at 11:00 a.m. from the Lodge towards Yellowknife. Afternoon free to explore the city. Head to the Old Town, where you’ll find several historic wooden buildings, which were once mining camps. Climb to the top of “The Rock” for a view of the surrounding area, and there is also a memorial for bush pilots. For a good fish dinner, it’s bullock’s bistro that you must absolutely go, the place is legendary! Overnight in Yellowknife.
