Day 1

place Arrival to Easter Island at Mataveri Airport - Transfer to Hanga Roa

Arrival in the Easter Island Airport. Reception in the Airport with a flower necklace and transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. We recommend you to walk around Hanga Roa downtown, maybe have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, go to Tahai, just along the coast from Hanga Roa, is possibly the best place to watch the sunset. The set of three ahus is located in a peaceful waterfront meadow where you can watch the sunset behind the statues. It is popular with local and tourists alike and nice to see people having a picnic or just enjoying being together. A great spot just being 25 mins walk from your hotel its perfect to do on the first day after flight into island if you are feeling exhausted but still want to get your first glimpse of the Moai.
