Dominica

Volcanic Dominica

7 days

Trip Snapshot

Besides rivers, Dominica has no shortage of mountains- green cushioned steeple-like massifs competing for space on this small island. Where Dominica lacks in horizontal space, she gains in vertical, and there are at least 26 mountains, 9 of which are dormant volcanoes, and the highest is almost 5,000 feet. Dominica has the highest concentration of dormant volcanoes in the world, adding to her already unique status, and it should come as no surprise that she has a number of natural spas and hot pools created from the healing sulfur springs which seep up from below. With the second-largest Boiling Lake in the world, hot pools along the edges of our rivers, sulphur springs both hot and cold scattered around the island, and sea spas in several locations in the sea, there are loads to discover and enjoy on this rugged Caribbean gem. As we journey, we will observe safety protocols to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and ensure that our guests remain safe.
