Trip Snapshot
There are not many places in the world with such a deep-rooted and yet lively nomadic culture in any other place. Rich with great history annexing most of the Eurasia on a horseback during the medieval period of time, Mongolia was an Empire of Horses. The Takhi or Przewalski’s horse as a biological species began to attract the interest of science from the second half of the 19th century. Of particular interest were their origin, their evolution and development, their natural habitat, reproduction, the increase, shrinking of their population and their rehabilitation. Nowadays the Mongolia has the last survivors of wild horses spread throughout the steppe lands to hills and Gobi region. Khustai National Park is the largest conservation area for the wild horse Takhi or Przewalski’s horse. Also in this area you can spot Mongolian wild creatures like Deer, Fox, Wolf, and Marmot.
