BIENVENIDOS A MEXICO !! After arriving in Cancún, please pick up your luggage and go directly to the Rental Car Desk within the airport. They will arrange your transport to the Rental Car office where you will pick up your rental car. With the keys in your hand, you are off on your Yucatan adventure and can drive to your hotel on the Rivera Maya. Relax on the beach after a long day of travel and let your worries fade away with the sound of the waves.

Akumal- Yalku Laguna- Aktun Chen Nature Park
Today, visit the nearby beach of Akumal where there is a sea turtle conservation center and where you can find sea turtles year round due to the abundant sea grass. Here, you can snorkel on the reef right from the beach. Explore the underwater world of tropical fish, coral and sea turtles. If you are lucky you may even see some babies making their way to the ocean (July-August is hatching season). Continue to the Yal Ku Laguna (Paradise Lagoon) which is an open air cenote filled with marine life. Enjoy some time swimming and snorkelling in the pristine nature. Afterwards, head to the Aktun Chen Nature Park where you can combine adrenaline and nature while using ziplines, exploring underground river systems and caves.

Tulum- Cenote Dos Ojos
Today, stop at the unique ruins of Tulum. This archaeological site is located on a cliff overlooking the turquoise ocean below. Explore the many ruins and afterward relax and soak up the warm Mexican sun on the beach below where you can take a refreshing dip in the ocean. Continue to the Cenote Dos Ojos which is a unique natural phenomenon found in the region. These underground rivers and caves were very important to Maya tradition and culture and have a mysterious atmosphere. Admire the stalactites and stalagmites overhead while swimming in the clear water.

Tulum - Cobá- Cenote Dzitnup- Valladolid
After breakfast, visit the pyramid of Coba. Explore the ruins and hike through the jungle on a small path until you reach the largest temple. Climb to the top of the Nohoch Mul pyramid for a fantastic view of the jungle canopy. Afterward, continue to the cenotes of Samula and Dzitnup. These are both closed cenotes where you can enjoy a dip in the crystal clear turquoise water while admiring the limestone formations overhead. Cenotes were important points of ritual and tradition in the Maya culture. Continue to the small colonial town of Valladolid. Explore the cobblestone streets and visit the breathtaking Convent of San Bernardino de Siena built between 1552 and 1560 as well as the main plaza while learning all about the Yucatan´s history. Valladolid was built atop a Maya city and many of the buildings were made from rocks of destroyed pyramids and temples.

Chichén Itzá- Cenote Yokdzonot
Your first stop today is the world famous archaeological site of Chichén Itzá. In 1988, the ancient Mayan city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in 2007 declared one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Let yourself be fascinated by the imposing, architecturally impressive buildings of the Mayas and admire, among other things, the famous pyramid of Kukulcán, which as a whole is a calendar turned to stone, and the huge ball court. Afterwards, continue to Cenote Yokdzonot, where you can take a refreshing bath in the bright blue water. Around the Cenote you can find a still typical yucatecan Mayan village, which, with the support of the government, maintains the water hole, looks after the small restaurant and thus ensures the income of the inhabitants. Afterwards drive back to Valladolid.

Ek Balam- Rio Lagartos
Today, you will head towards Rio Lagartos, a small fishing community on the coast where you can observe the multitude of sea birds and flamingoes as they take flight and begin their day. Enjoy a boat ride (ask for our contact) through the lagoon and mangroves to get a closer look at the unique flora and fauna with around 320 different species. Afterwards, stop at the salt ponds of Los Colorados which have a unique pink hue due to the high content of marine microorganisms rich in beta carotene. After lunch (not included), the tour continues to the secluded archeological site of Ek Balam, which translates as “shiny jaguar”. The facade of the main pyramid is especially impressive with beautiful artful stucco. After a full day drive back to your hotel in Valladolid.

Valladolid- Chiquilá- Holbox
Enjoy a relaxing morning exploring the quaint colonial town of Valladolid. Explore the cobblestone streets and visit the breathtaking Convent of San Bernardino de Siena built between 1552 and 1560 as well as the main plaza while learning all about the Yucatan´s history. Valladolid was built atop a Maya city and many of the buildings were made from rocks of destroyed pyramids and temples. Afterwards, drive to the pier in Chiquila where you will leave your rental car in a secure parking lot and catch the ferry (tickets not included) over to Holbox. Once on the island, take a taxi (on your own) to your hotel on the isolated beaches of the island.

Enjoy the spectacular beaches of the small, car-free island of Holbox. It is a natural paradise with white sandy beaches, turquoise water, mangroves and it is also known for its spectacular sunsets. Rent a bike, ride a horse, snorkel with whale sharks (may-sept) or take a boat trip to the surrounding little islands and lagoons. Stroll through the colorful downtown and enjoy some delicious seafood fresh from the ocean or just relax in a hammock and let your mind wander.

Holbox- Chiquilá-Airport Cancún (CUN)
According to your departure time, you take an Island taxi (Golf cart) and are brought to the port. Here you will buy your ferry tickets and take the ferry to Chiquilá by yourself. Upon arrival, you will pick up your car again and continue to the Cancun airport where you will return your rental car. Please ask there for free transport to your departure Terminal.
