Arrival in Bali - Private transfer to hotel in Jimbaran
Welcome to Bali!
Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, meet your private driver and transfer to your hotel in Jimbaran.
Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, whether you prefer to relax after your journey or begin soaking up the laid-back atmosphere of southern Bali.

Morning at Leisure | Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Dance & Jimbaran Seafood Dinner
Enjoy a leisurely morning to relax at the hotel or explore at your own pace.
In the afternoon, meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby. It is approximately to Uluwatu Temple, dramatically perched on a clifftop overlooking the Indian Ocean. Explore this important Balinese Hindu sea temple and take in the sweeping coastal views.
As the sun begins to set, watch the captivating Kecak Dance, a traditional Balinese performance featuring a rhythmic chorus of male performers and scenes inspired by the Ramayana.
After the performance, continue to Jimbaran Bay for dinner at a beachfront restaurant. Enjoy a selection of Balinese-style grilled seafood, served with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables, in a relaxed setting by the sea.
Please note: The journey from Uluwatu to Jimbaran takes place during peak evening traffic, so please expect some congestion and a longer transfer time.
Guide: Included for the day
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Accommodation:
Jimbaran to Denpasar Airport | Denpasar to Ende via Labuan Bajo (domestic flights) | Ende to Moni
After breakfast, transfer to Denpasar Airport for your domestic flight to Ende, on the island of Flores.
Recommended flights (not included in package pricing):
Denpasar to Labuan Bajo 09:45–10:55
Labuan Bajo to Ende 12:55–13:45
Note: Flight schedule to be advised at the time of booking and subject to airline changes
Upon arrival in Ende, meet your driver and begin your overland journey towards Moni, a small highland village and the gateway to Kelimutu.
Along the way, stop at Saga, a traditional village of the Lio people set on the slopes of the Kelimutu area. The visit offers a first glimpse into the living traditions of Flores and the distinctive architecture of the Ende-Lio communities.
Saga is one of the traditional villages where the characteristic Musalaki houses can still be found, recognised by their elevated structure and steep, soaring thatched roofs. These houses are more than places of residence; traditionally, they are closely connected to community leadership, ceremonies and ancestral traditions.
Explore the village on foot with a local guide, who will introduce you to aspects of Lio culture, village life and the traditions that continue to be passed down through generations. Saga also maintains important customary ceremonies, including Nggua, a traditional celebration associated with giving thanks for the harvest.
Before continuing to Moni, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at your local guide's home — a simple and personal end to your visit.
Continue through the Flores countryside to Moni, where you will settle in for the night ahead of tomorrow's early-morning journey to Kelimutu.

Sunrise at Kelimutu | Transfer to Bajawa
Wake up before dawn and travel to Kelimutu National Park for one of Flores’ most memorable experiences. From the parking area, walk approximately 30 minutes along an uphill path to the viewpoint overlooking Kelimutu’s three volcanic crater lakes.
Rise before dawn and leave your lodge for the approximately 30-minute drive to Kelimutu National Park. From the parking area, continue on foot for around 20 to 30 minutes along an uphill path and steps to reach the viewpoint in time for sunrise, weather permitting.
Mount Kelimutu is renowned for its three neighbouring crater lakes, whose colours can change over time due to the complex volcanic chemistry of the water. At around 1,600 metres above sea level, the summit area can be surprisingly cool before sunrise, so a warm layer is recommended.
After returning from Kelimutu, continue your overland journey west towards Bajawa. The drive takes you through the changing landscapes of central Flores, with stops along the way to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery.
En route, stop along the coast for a walk on a beach known locally for its colourful pebbles, including distinctive green stones traditionally collected by local residents. Continue into the highlands and arrive in Bajawa in the late afternoon.
Surrounded by volcanic mountains, Bajawa sits at around 1,100–1,200 metres above sea level and has a noticeably cooler climate than the coastal areas of Flores. Evenings can be chilly, so keep a light jacket or warm layer handy.

Trek Through the Bajawa Highlands includes Soa Hot Springs
After breakfast, set out on foot with your guide to discover the Ngada highlands surrounding Bajawa. Travelling on foot allows you to experience this beautiful region at a slower pace, following paths between traditional villages and through the surrounding farmland, hills and bamboo forest. Rather than simply visiting a village by vehicle, the trek offers a closer look at how the communities and landscapes of the Bajawa highlands are connected.
This region is the cultural heartland of the Ngada people, and traditional villages remain an important part of everyday and ceremonial life. Along the way, discover distinctive traditional houses, ancestral shrines and megalithic stone structures, while your local guide shares insights into Ngada customs, beliefs and the significance of these traditions within the community.
The walk also creates opportunities for more natural encounters along the way. Pass through cultivated land, observe everyday rural life and meet local residents, with a stop for tea in a village home adding a more personal experience.
The landscape is hilly, with a number of ascents and descents along the route, but the changing scenery and views across the Bajawa highlands make the effort worthwhile. Comfortable walking shoes and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.
In the afternoon, continue to Soa, known for its natural hot springs. Take time to soak in the warm, naturally heated water surrounded by lush scenery — a relaxing end to an active day in the highlands.

Bajawa to Ruteng
After breakfast, drive west towards Ruteng, following the Trans-Flores road through another beautiful stretch of the island. The journey winds through mountains, valleys and rural communities, offering changing views of the Flores countryside along the way.
En route, stop in the Aimere area, known locally for the production of arak, a traditional distilled spirit commonly made here from the sap of the lontar palm. Visit a small local distillery to see how the drink is produced using traditional methods and learn a little about its place in everyday life and local culture.
Continue through the highlands to Ranamese Lake, a tranquil volcanic lake surrounded by dense forest within the protected Ruteng Nature Tourism Park. Covering approximately 11.5 hectares and sitting at around 1,200 metres above sea level, the lake offers a refreshing change of scenery and an opportunity to stretch your legs in the cool highland air. The surrounding forest is also an important habitat for birdlife, including species endemic to Flores.
After your visit, continue through the mountainous landscape towards Ruteng, the main town of the Manggarai highlands.

Walk Through the Manggarai Countryside | Journey to Labuan Bajo
After breakfast, set out with your guide for a short drive, followed with an approximately 1½-hour walk through the countryside around Ruteng, passing small villages and rice fields along the way. Travelling on foot offers a closer look at everyday rural life and the agricultural landscapes of the Manggarai highlands.
The region is particularly known for its distinctive lingko, traditional communal farmland divided into wedge-shaped plots radiating from a central point. Viewed from above, these fields create the remarkable spider-web pattern for which the Manggarai region has become famous.
Continue west towards Labuan Bajo, stopping along the way at a viewpoint overlooking the lingko fields. The overland journey takes approximately 4–5 hours of driving, following winding mountain roads through some of western Flores' lushest scenery.
Arrive in Labuan Bajo later in the day and settle into your hotel, with the evening at leisure.
Please note: Today's journey involves several hours on winding mountain roads. Driving times are approximate and may vary depending on road, traffic and weather conditions.

Take the opportunity to slow down and recharge at your hotel, enjoy some time by the pool, or head into Labuan Bajo to explore independently.
The town has a relaxed waterfront atmosphere, with cafés, restaurants and viewpoints overlooking the harbour and surrounding islands.
You may also choose to arrange an optional activity locally, or simply do very little — tomorrow brings an early start and a full day exploring Komodo National Park by speedboat.
Today is completely at leisure. Any activities, transportation, meals or other arrangements not specified in the itinerary are at your own expense.

Island-hopping through Komodo National Park
Set out this morning for a full-day adventure through the spectacular landscapes and waters of Komodo National Park.
Transfer to the harbor and join your shared speedboat for a day of island-hopping, combining dramatic viewpoints, wildlife encounters, beaches and snorkeling.
Among the planned highlights is Padar Island, where an uphill walk leads to one of Indonesia's most iconic viewpoints. From the top, enjoy sweeping views across the island's rugged hills and crescent-shaped bays. The climb includes steps and steep sections, so comfortable footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.
Spend time at Pink Beach, where the sand takes on its distinctive rosy hue from tiny fragments of red coral mixed with white sand. Depending on conditions, there will be time to swim, snorkel or simply enjoy the beach.
The journey also includes a visit to Komodo Island, where you will explore with a national park ranger in search of the legendary Komodo dragon. These remarkable reptiles live freely in their natural habitat, so sightings and how close they may be cannot be guaranteed.
During the day, enjoy lunch aboard the boat and continue exploring the waters of the national park. Planned stops may include Taka Makassar, a small sandbank surrounded by turquoise water; Manta Point, where there may be an opportunity to spot manta rays; and Siaba Island, known for its coral reefs and marine life.
Return to Labuan Bajo in the late afternoon after a full day exploring one of Indonesia's most extraordinary natural environments.
The route and sequence of stops described above are indicative and may change depending on weather and sea conditions, currents, park regulations, safety considerations and the boat operator's assessment on the day. Some locations may be substituted or omitted when conditions require.
Wildlife, including Komodo dragons and manta rays, lives freely in its natural environment and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
